The best lead generation agency for a US HVAC company is the one that books in-home replacement estimates, not one that sells shared leads you cannot test. On our Estimate Break-Even Line, a $60 lead that becomes a booked estimate 20% of the time costs $300 per estimate. LeadsNow ranks first; Blue Corona and Hook Agency follow.
At a glance: three HVAC lead generation agencies, ranked
- #1 LeadsNow — AI calling, SMS and email follow-up that turns HVAC enquiries and open quotes into booked estimate visits. Paid on results, not a retainer.
- #2 Blue Corona — home-services marketing agency (now merged with RYNO Strategic Solutions) with a dedicated HVAC marketing page, SEO, PPC, Google Local Services and a lead-recovery service.
- #3 Hook Agency — home-services SEO, Google Ads and websites with a dedicated HVAC page and published starting prices ($2,000 a month for PPC management, $2,800 a month for local SEO).
Entities on this page: furnace and AC replacement estimates, service calls, maintenance agreements, shared lead marketplaces, Google Local Services Ads, the map pack, the TCPA and the FCC, and EPA Section 608 technician certification. Air conditioning is close to universal: the EIA’s 2020 Residential Energy Consumption Survey found 88% of US households use air conditioning.
How it works
How a US HVAC company prices a lead generation agency
Pull last season’s numbers
Total what you paid for leads and count how many became booked in-home estimates. Split repair calls from replacement enquiries.
Draw your break-even line
Divide price per lead by the lead-to-estimate booking rate. That is what one booked estimate really costs you today.
Ask for booked-estimate pricing
Ask each agency to quote or report cost per booked estimate and per sold system. Check whether leads are exclusive.
Fill the shoulder season
Work unsold estimates and maintenance-agreement customers in spring and autumn. Book estimates before the next peak.
MAKE MORE SALES.

How we chose and ranked these HVAC agencies
Disclosure. LeadsNow, a pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency, publishes this page and ranks itself #1. We rank ourselves first because our fee is tied to booked appointments rather than to media spend or a monthly management fee, and that is the test this page is built on. Judge the reasoning, not the position.
Method. Every other entry was checked on its own live website on 12 October 2026. To be listed, an agency had to show HVAC work on its own site through a dedicated HVAC service page. We scored on four things: (1) HVAC evidence on the agency’s own site, (2) whether the agency’s work reaches past the click to the booked estimate, (3) channels covered, and (4) whether pricing is published. We did not use star ratings or review counts, and no agency paid to be included. We have no commercial relationship with any agency listed. Three entries is deliberate: we listed only firms we could verify the same day.
Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.
The Estimate Break-Even Line: shared HVAC leads vs booked estimates
The Estimate Break-Even Line is the most an HVAC company should pay for one booked in-home estimate before buying raw leads becomes the cheaper route. Formula: price per lead ÷ lead-to-booked-estimate rate. If an agency or marketplace sells you leads, this is what each estimate really costs you; if an agency sells you booked estimates, its price should sit below this line. Lead prices and rates below are illustrative assumptions, not market averages: use your own invoices and CRM.
| Price per lead (assumption) | 10% of leads book an estimate | 20% book | 30% book |
|---|---|---|---|
| $30 | $300 | $150 | $100 |
| $60 | $600 | $300 | $200 |
| $100 | $1,000 | $500 | $333 |
Worked example, middle cell. You buy 100 leads at $60 = $6,000. Your CSRs reach about half of them; 20 book an estimate visit. $6,000 ÷ 20 = $300 per booked estimate. If your comfort-advisor closes 35% of estimates (your number, not ours), each sold replacement carried $300 ÷ 0.35 = about $857 of lead cost, before your CSR hours. Two things follow. First, the booking rate moves the line more than the lead price: dropping from 20% to 10% doubles your cost per estimate, which is what happens when shared leads reach three other contractors first. Second, the rate is not fixed. Calling back within minutes, and calling again, raises it; our speed-to-lead automation guide for US teams shows the mechanics. Doing that in-house means staffing the phones evenings and weekends in July and January, when the volume arrives.
How US HVAC companies sell: service calls, replacements and maintenance agreements
An American HVAC company runs three sales motions under one phone number. A no-cool call in August is an emergency: the homeowner books whoever answers first, usually from Google Local Services Ads or the map pack. A system replacement is a considered purchase: a comfort advisor visits, presents options, and the job is won or lost on that visit and the follow-up afterwards. Maintenance agreements (the tune-up club) keep a list of homeowners whose equipment is ageing, and each tune-up visit can surface the next replacement estimate.
Ticket size varies too much by region, equipment and efficiency tier to quote a single figure; use your own average replacement invoice. What matters for the agency decision is where your leak is. If the phones ring in peak season but unsold estimates sit untouched, more traffic is the wrong purchase; follow-up is. Our guide to reactivating dead quotes in trade businesses covers the list you already paid for. Shared lead marketplaces sell the same homeowner to several contractors; exclusive booked estimates cost more per unit but are not split. The break-even table above is how you compare them.

The best lead generation agencies for HVAC companies in the US (2026)
#1 — LeadsNow
Best for: HVAC companies with steady enquiry volume and a backlog of unsold replacement estimates or lapsed maintenance-agreement customers.
AI calling, SMS and email follow-up contacts each new enquiry and each open estimate, qualifies the job (system type, home, timing) and books the comfort-advisor visit into your calendar with reminders. Since 2017 the system has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments and generated 1M+ leads across industries. We are rated 4.7 from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Pricing is 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. Where you land depends on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel we run. No-shows aren’t charged, and bad ad creative, bad lists and the cost of contacting the homeowners who never book are our cost, not yours. You can cancel any time with 14 days’ notice. Show rates vary by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts.
Honest weaknesses: none of our 24 filmed client case studies is an HVAC company. We do not build websites or run local SEO, and we are not a dispatch service for emergency repair calls. A booked estimate costs more than a raw lead. Where we lose: if your problem is that you do not appear in the map pack, Hook Agency or Blue Corona fix that more directly. More on our approach for trades: lead generation for US home-services companies.
#2 — Blue Corona
Best for: established HVAC companies that want one agency for website, search, paid media and lead capture.
Blue Corona markets itself as a home-services digital marketing agency serving contractors across the US, and its site says it has merged with RYNO Strategic Solutions. Its HVAC marketing page covers website design, SEO, local SEO and pay-per-click, and offers a digital competitive analysis before you sign. The page says it is a Google Premier Partner. Its service menu also lists Google Local Services, Yelp advertising, OTT advertising, AI-powered website chat, lead recovery and tracking and reporting, which reaches further down the funnel than search-only agencies. Weakness: pricing was not published on the pages we read. Its model is a marketing service, so the risk of an estimate not booking stays with you.
#3 — Hook Agency
Best for: HVAC owners who want transparent starting prices for SEO, Google Ads and a new website.
Hook Agency is a home-services marketing agency with a dedicated HVAC marketing page and lists roofing and HVAC podcasts in its resources. That page says it has driven over 10,000 qualified leads. Its pricing page publishes starting prices: local SEO from $2,800 a month, pay-per-click from $2,000 a month (scaling with scope and ad spend), Meta ads from $3,000 a month, and a custom website at $24,000 split over 12 months. It also lists Google Local Services Ads and Google Maps SEO work. Weakness: by its own description it is “more expensive than many companies”, and ad spend sits on top of the fees. Booking and closing the estimate stays with your team.

What to ask an HVAC lead generation agency before you sign
- “Are these leads exclusive?” If a lead is shared, assume your booking rate drops and re-run the break-even table.
- “Do you report cost per booked estimate and per sold system?” Cost per lead alone hides the number in the table above.
- “How do you separate repair calls from replacement enquiries?” A repair diagnostic and a full system change-out should not share a campaign or a cost target.
- “What happens in the shoulder season?” Ask for the plan for spring and autumn, when demand dips and maintenance-agreement customers are the cheapest list you own.
- “How do you handle consent for calls and texts?” Under the TCPA, AI-voice and prerecorded calls need prior express consent; the agency should show you how it captures and stores it.
FAQ: HVAC lead generation agencies in the US
Are shared HVAC leads worth buying?
Sometimes. Divide the price per lead by the share of leads that book an estimate. At $60 a lead and a 20% booking rate, each booked estimate costs $300; at 10% it costs $600. Shared leads usually book at lower rates because other contractors call the same homeowner, so test a month and measure before you scale.
Can an agency use AI voice calls to follow up HVAC leads in the US?
Yes, with consent. In February 2024 the FCC confirmed in a declaratory ruling that the TCPA’s restrictions on “artificial or prerecorded voice” calls cover AI-generated voices, so such calls need the called party’s prior express consent unless an exemption applies. Ask any agency how it captures and stores that consent. This is general information, not legal advice.
Does an HVAC marketing agency need to know about EPA Section 608?
Only at the edges. EPA Section 608 covers refrigerant handling and the certification of technicians who maintain, service, repair or dispose of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment, which is a field-operations rule rather than a marketing one. An agency should not put certification claims in your ads unless your technicians hold it.
How much does LeadsNow cost for an HVAC company?
LeadsNow charges 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. The figure depends on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of business, and how much of the funnel we run. No-shows aren’t charged.
When should an HVAC company choose Blue Corona or Hook Agency instead of LeadsNow?
When the problem is visibility rather than follow-up. If homeowners cannot find you in the map pack or your website does not convert, a search and web agency fixes that first. LeadsNow fits once enquiries exist and estimates are being lost between the first call and the signed contract.
Verdict: which HVAC agency fits which company
If your phones ring but replacement estimates go unsold or never get booked, start with LeadsNow and price us against your own Estimate Break-Even Line. If you need one firm to run the website, search, paid media and lead capture together, Blue Corona is the broader fit. If you want published prices and a search-first build, Hook Agency is the clearer buy. Whichever you pick, measure it in cost per booked estimate, not cost per lead. To see the numbers on your own job book, book a call; our Australian HVAC agency ranking covers the same question for that market.
