The best lead generation agency for a US roofing company books roof inspections you can price separately for retail replacement and storm or insurance work. With our stated assumptions, a US$15,000 retail inspection is worth up to US$420 and a storm inspection US$240. Our ranking: LeadsNow, Hook Agency, Roofing Webmasters.
- The ranking: #1 LeadsNow (pay-per-result inspection booking and follow-up), #2 Hook Agency (home-service SEO, Google Ads and websites, with roofing clients), #3 Roofing Webmasters (roofing-only SEO). LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first.
- How US roofers sell: an enquiry, door knock or referral becomes a roof inspection; the inspection becomes an estimate or, on storm work, a signed agreement and an insurance claim. The inspection is the conversion worth paying for.
- The decision rule: the Two-Ledger Rule. Value retail and storm inspections in separate ledgers, because one blended price overpays for one and underpays for the other.
- The in-home sales rule: the FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule generally gives a buyer until midnight of the third business day to cancel a sale of US$25 or more made at their home.
- Licensing: roofing contractor licensing is set state by state (and sometimes locally); check your own state board before an agency writes “licensed” into your ads.
How we ranked lead generation agencies for US roofing companies
Disclosure first. LeadsNow, a pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency based in Australia that serves US clients, wrote this page and ranks itself #1. Read it as an opinion. We checked each other agency on its own live site on October 12, 2026, attribute every claim to that site, and say where pricing is not published. Nobody paid to be listed, and we kept to three agencies we could verify rather than pad the list.
A roofer sells a large, often urgent, one-visit decision, so the criteria weight the step from enquiry to a ladder on the house:
- Produces inspections, not just clicks (30%). Does the agency report booked inspections or jobs, or only traffic and leads?
- Roofing evidence on its own site (25%). Roofing clients, roofing case studies or a roofing-only focus.
- Separates retail from storm work (20%). Can it report the two lead types apart?
- Price you can convert to cost per inspection (15%).
- Speed of contact (10%). Who calls the homeowner back, and how fast?
Where we would lose: LeadsNow does not build websites, does not do SEO or Google Business Profile work, and has no published US roofing case study. A roofer who is invisible in local search should start with #2 or #3.
How it works
How a US roofer prices inspections with two ledgers
Tag every lead
Mark each enquiry retail replacement or storm and insurance at first contact.
Track completed inspections
Count inspections that happened, per ledger, not leads or booked slots.
Count surviving contracts
Use contracts that outlast the three-day cancellation window and, on storm work, approved claims.
Set two ceilings
Job value times conversion times acquisition share, per ledger. Compare each agency against both.
MAKE MORE SALES.

The Two-Ledger Rule: pricing retail and storm roof inspections separately
The Two-Ledger Rule says a US roofing company should set two ceilings per inspection, not one. Retail ledger: job value × inspection-to-contract rate × acquisition share. Storm ledger: job value × inspection-to-signed-agreement rate × claim-approval rate × acquisition share, because a signed storm agreement only becomes a job if the insurer pays. Job values and conversion rates vary by state, roof size, material and storm season, so every input below is an assumption: retail 35% inspection-to-contract; storm 40% signed and 50% of claims approved (20% net); acquisition share 8%. Replace them with your own CRM numbers.
| Job value (assumption) | Retail ceiling per inspection | Storm ceiling per inspection | Blended 50/50 price | Blended overpays storm by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| US$10,000 | US$280 | US$160 | US$220 | US$60 |
| US$15,000 | US$420 | US$240 | US$330 | US$90 |
| US$20,000 | US$560 | US$320 | US$440 | US$120 |
Worked example, middle row. Retail: US$15,000 × 0.35 × 0.08 = US$420. Storm: US$15,000 × 0.40 × 0.50 × 0.08 = US$240. A single blended price of US$330 pays US$90 too much for every storm inspection and leaves US$90 of headroom unused on every retail one, so an agency paid on the blend will drift towards whichever lead is cheaper to produce. The quotable version: in US roofing, price retail and storm inspections in separate ledgers. What a raw roofing lead costs before it becomes an inspection is covered in how much a roofing lead costs.

The best lead generation agencies for US roofing companies (2026)
#1 — LeadsNow
Best for: roofers with more enquiries, old estimates and post-storm call-ins than their office can call back the same day.
AI voice, SMS, email and chat agents contact each enquiry, ask the qualifying questions you set (owner or tenant, roof age, leak or storm damage, insurance claim or not), book the inspection into your estimator’s calendar and send reminders, on US hours. Since 2017 the system has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments and generated 1M+ leads, with 24 filmed client case studies and a 4.7 rating from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Appointment show rate varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts. Pricing is 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, set by lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel we run. No-shows aren’t charged; bad ad creative, bad lists and the cost of contacting the homeowners who never book are our cost. Cancel any time with 14 days’ notice. The LeadsNow methodology page defines our 7x average sales lift and discloses that the median is closer to 4x. Our lead generation for trades page explains the service.
Where we lose: no SEO, no website build, no door-knocking crews, no published US roofing case study, and our team is in Australia, not the US.
#2 — Hook Agency
Best for: established roofing companies that want search, Google Ads and a new website run by one team.
Hook Agency is a home-services digital marketing agency whose homepage lists roofing, HVAC and plumbing as the industries it serves, introduces its “MN team”, runs a roofing podcast and shows testimonials from roofing companies. It publishes starting prices: local SEO from US$2,800 a month (SEO only), pay-per-click from US$2,000 a month (scaling with scope and ad spend), and a standard website at US$1,000 a month, US$12K in total over 12 months. Its FAQ says its services suit businesses generating US$3M to US$15M in revenue. It generates leads and calls; booking and running inspections stays with your office.
#3 — Roofing Webmasters
Best for: roofers who want a roofing-only SEO specialist and a low-commitment start.
Roofing Webmasters works only with roofers. Its homepage says it has “16+ Years as The Top SEO Agency for Roofers” (its own description) with firsthand experience of 1,000+ roofing companies, offers SEO, answer engine optimization, websites, local SEO through its DataPins software, and reputation management, advertises “$99 to Start!” and describes month-to-month plans rather than long-term agreements. Its founder is named as Nolen Walker. SEO compounds slowly, so expect it to fix visibility rather than this month’s inspection count.
How the three roofing lead generation agencies compare side by side

| 2 | Hook Agency | Home-services marketing agency | SEO, Google Ads and LSA, Meta ads, websites | Roofing listed first among industries; roofing testimonials | From US$2,800/mo SEO; from US$2,000/mo PPC | Your office |

Door-knocking vs digital roofing leads: the three-day cancellation rule
Door-knocking after a hailstorm and digital enquiries both end at the same place for most US roofers: a contract signed at the homeowner’s kitchen table. That makes the FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule relevant whichever channel produced the inspection. The FTC’s consumer guide to the Cooling-Off Rule says it covers sales made at your home of US$25 or more and that the buyer generally has until midnight of the third business day after the sale to cancel; 16 CFR 429.1 sets the wording of the cancellation notice. Some states add their own home-solicitation and storm-contractor rules, and contractor licensing is set state by state, so check your own state before you scale a canvassing crew. This is general information, not legal advice.
For a lead generation buyer the practical point is measurement: count contracts that survive the cancellation window, not contracts signed, when you calculate inspection-to-contract for the Two-Ledger Rule. The Australian version of this ranking, with different agencies, AUD pricing and the Spam Act, is our best lead generation agencies for roofing companies in Australia.
What to ask a roofing lead generation agency before you sign
- Can you report retail and storm leads separately? Without that split you cannot run the Two-Ledger Rule.
- Are the leads exclusive to us? A homeowner sent to three roofers after a storm is a race, not a lead.
- Who calls the homeowner back, and within how many minutes? Ask for the median, not the best case.
- What counts as a result: a click, a call, a form, a booked inspection or an inspection that happened?
- How do you handle storm surges? Ask what happens to response time when enquiries triple in a week.
- What would doing it in house cost? An office coordinator on extended hours, a phone and SMS system with call recording, and an estimator calendar someone owns, before any ad spend.
Questions US roofing companies ask about lead generation agencies
Can a homeowner cancel a roofing contract signed at their home?
Often, yes. The FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule guidance says a buyer generally has until midnight of the third business day to cancel a sale of US$25 or more made at their home, with exceptions. States can add their own rules. This is general information, not legal advice.
Should a roofer pay per lead, per inspection or a monthly retainer?
Pay for the step you can verify that sits closest to a signed job, which for most roofers is a completed inspection. Whatever the model, convert it to cost per inspection and compare it with your retail and storm ceilings from the Two-Ledger Rule.
Is storm and insurance work worth more or less per inspection than retail replacement?
Usually less per inspection, even at the same job value, because a signed storm agreement still depends on the insurer approving the claim. With our assumptions a US$15,000 storm inspection is worth US$240 against US$420 for retail.
Is door-knocking cheaper than digital roofing leads?
There is no reliable public benchmark comparing them. Measure both in cost per completed inspection and in contracts that survive the three-day cancellation window; a canvassing crew’s cost includes wages, commissions and the homes that never open the door.
How is this list different from the Australian roofing ranking?
The Australian ranking covers Australian agencies, AUD fees, ABS business counts and the Spam Act. This US list covers retail versus storm and insurance work, the FTC Cooling-Off Rule and state licensing, and ranks different agencies.
