The best lead generation agency for a US landscaping company is the one priced against what a single estimate visit is worth. At a US$40,000 design-build project, a 25% visit-to-contract rate and a 10% acquisition share, one estimate visit is worth up to US$1,000. Our ranking: LeadsNow, Landscape Leadership, Footbridge Media. We publish this page and rank ourselves first.
- The ranking: #1 LeadsNow (pay-per-result appointment setting), #2 Landscape Leadership (green-industry-only marketing and sales agency, Austin, Texas), #3 Footbridge Media (contractor websites, SEO and ads, since 2004).
- Two funnels, not one: design-build and hardscape projects sell through an estimate visit and a proposal; maintenance contracts (residential and commercial) sell on recurring value and, for commercial property, through bids. Price an agency against the funnel it feeds.
- The decision rule: the Estimate-Visit Ceiling. Project value × visit-to-contract rate × acquisition share = the most one estimate visit is worth. Maintenance uses annual contract value × years retained instead.
- Published prices we found: Landscape Leadership says its clients spend US$70,000–US$100,000 a year and one-off projects start at US$25,000. Footbridge Media publishes a flat US$249 a month with the website included. LeadsNow charges 5–25% of the revenue it generates, a fee per appointment, or a mix.
- The rule that bites: the FCC ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices count as “artificial or prerecorded voice” under the TCPA, so AI calls to homeowners and property managers need the right consent.
How we ranked lead generation agencies for US landscaping companies
Disclosure: LeadsNow, a pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency based in Melbourne, Australia, that serves US clients, wrote this page and ranks itself #1. We rank ourselves first because we take the cost of contacting the people who never book, which is the cost that hurts a landscaper most in a slow month. Read our position as an opinion. We checked the other two agencies on their own live sites on October 12, 2026, attributed every claim to the page it came from, and quote prices only where the agency publishes them. No agency paid to be included.
A US landscaping company is usually two businesses under one truck wrap: a design-build or hardscape side selling one-off projects after an estimate visit, and a maintenance side selling recurring contracts. We weighted the criteria for that:
- Landscaping evidence on the agency’s own site (25%). A landscaping page, a named landscaping client or a landscaping result.
- Keeps design-build and maintenance apart (20%). Separate offers, pages or campaigns for each funnel.
- Who carries the cost of unbooked leads (20%). Is the agency paid if no estimate visit is booked?
- Commercial maintenance reach (15%). Property managers, HOAs and commercial owners, not only homeowners.
- Price you can test (10%). Can the fee be converted into a cost per estimate visit?
- Seasonal plan (10%). A written plan that starts before spring, not during it.
Where we lose: on criterion 1 LeadsNow scores lowest of the three. None of our 24 filmed client case studies is a landscaper, we do not build websites or run SEO, and our team is in Australia. Landscape Leadership beats us on landscaping evidence and commercial reach.
How it works
How a US landscaper prices an agency per estimate visit
Split the two funnels
Separate design-build and hardscape enquiries from maintenance quotes. Each gets its own cost target.
Set the ceiling
Multiply project value by visit-to-contract rate and acquisition share. That is the most one estimate visit is worth.
Convert every quote
Turn retainers and per-lead prices into a cost per booked estimate visit. Drop any agency above the ceiling.
Book before spring
Start the agency months before the season. Book estimate visits with reminders and keep following up the not-yet list.

The Estimate-Visit Ceiling: what one landscaping estimate is worth
The Estimate-Visit Ceiling says a landscaping company can pay, per booked estimate visit, no more than project value × visit-to-contract rate × acquisition share. We know of no credible public benchmark for US landscaping close rates, so every input below is an assumption: a 25% visit-to-contract rate and a 10% acquisition share (the slice of gross project revenue you will spend to win the job). That reduces to project value × 0.025. Replace the inputs with your own last 90 days of estimates.
| Project value (assumption) | Visit-to-contract 15% | Visit-to-contract 25% | Visit-to-contract 40% |
|---|---|---|---|
| US$10,000 (planting, small patio) | US$150 | US$250 | US$400 |
| US$40,000 (hardscape, outdoor living) | US$600 | US$1,000 | US$1,600 |
| US$100,000 (full design-build) | US$1,500 | US$2,500 | US$4,000 |
Worked example, middle cell: US$40,000 × 0.25 × 0.10 = US$1,000 per estimate visit. Subtract what the visit costs you (a designer’s or owner’s half-day, plus the concept drawing) before you compare agency prices against it.
Maintenance is a different sum. A residential maintenance contract worth US$3,000 a year, kept three years, won from 30% of quotes at a 10% acquisition share, is worth US$3,000 × 3 × 0.30 × 0.10 = US$270 per quote, all assumptions again. That is why a cost per lead that works for patios can sink a mowing route. The quotable rule: price an agency per estimate visit for design-build and per retained year for maintenance, never per lead across both.

The best lead generation agencies for landscaping companies in the US (2026)
#1 — LeadsNow
Best for: design-build and hardscape companies with past enquiries, old estimates and website leads that were never followed up properly.
AI voice, SMS, email and chat agents contact each enquiry quickly, ask about scope, budget, timing and property, and book estimate visits into your calendar with reminders, on US hours. Since 2017 the system has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments and generated 1M+ leads, with 24 filmed client case studies and a 4.7 rating from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Show rate varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts. Pricing is 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, depending on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel we run. No-shows aren’t charged; bad ad creative, bad lists and the cost of contacting the people who never book are our cost. Cancel any time with 14 days’ notice. Our lead generation for trades businesses page explains the service, and the LeadsNow methodology page defines our 7x average sales lift and discloses that the median is closer to 4x.
Where we lose: no landscaping case study, no website build, no SEO or Google Business Profile work, and no commercial bid writing.
#2 — Landscape Leadership
Best for: established residential design-build and commercial maintenance companies that want a full marketing and sales partner.
A sales and marketing agency in Austin, Texas, whose homepage says it has served the green industry exclusively since 2008, across lawn care, landscape design and installation, commercial landscaping, tree care, maintenance and irrigation. Its commercial landscaping page describes strategy, websites, photo and video, SEO, email and SMS campaigns, and sales enablement, and says client Level Green Landscaping’s website has generated over 1,000 commercial leads in nine years (the client result it reports). Its services page says clients spend US$70,000–US$100,000 a year and one-off project work starts at US$25,000, and that it does not work with franchises. It is the most landscaping-specific option here, priced for companies with that budget.
#3 — Footbridge Media
Best for: owner-run landscaping companies that need a website, local SEO and ads before anything else.
A contractor marketing company whose landscaper marketing page says it has provided marketing for landscaping businesses since 2004, works only with contractors in the trades, and that every employee is US-based. The program includes a custom landscaper website and landscaping SEO; its homepage lists Google Ads, Google Local Service Ads, Facebook ads, email and a contractor lead chat service, says the website is included in its monthly fee, and says it is trusted by over 2,000 contractors. Its landscaping page publishes a flat fee of US$249 a month with no contracts. Footbridge generates enquiries; your team still has to call them back and book the estimate.

Design-build, maintenance or commercial: which agency fits your landscaping company
| If your landscaping company… | Then |
|---|---|
| Has no website worth sending traffic to | Footbridge Media first |
| Wants commercial maintenance contracts and can budget US$70,000+ a year | Landscape Leadership |
| Already gets design-build enquiries but books too few estimate visits | LeadsNow |
| Has two or more years of old estimates and enquiries never followed up | LeadsNow (see database reactivation in the US) |
| Sells mainly mowing routes under US$1,500 a year | No agency priced per lead yet; run the maintenance sum above first |
Australian landscapers should read our Australian landscaping agency ranking, which covers different agencies, AUD prices and Australian rules, and our guide to landscaping leads in the slow season.
What a US landscaping owner should ask an agency before signing
- Which funnel is this for? Ask for separate reporting on design-build estimate visits and maintenance quotes.
- What is my cost per booked estimate visit? Convert any retainer: monthly fee plus ad spend, divided by visits booked last quarter. Test it against the Estimate-Visit Ceiling.
- How do you handle consent for calls and texts? AI or prerecorded voice calls fall under the TCPA, and business texting in the US runs through A2P 10DLC registration (see our A2P 10DLC guide).
- When do you start for spring? Design-build calendars fill months ahead; an agency starting in April is chasing the season.
- Who owns the website, ad accounts and lead list if I leave? Get it in writing.
The TCPA rule that applies to AI calls for landscaping leads
The Federal Communications Commission’s February 2024 declaratory ruling (FCC 24-17) confirmed that the TCPA’s restrictions on “artificial or prerecorded voice” calls cover current AI technologies that generate human voices. For a landscaping company, that means an agency using AI voice to follow up homeowners or property managers needs the consent the TCPA requires for that call type. This is general information, not legal advice; ask your agency to show its consent records.
Questions US landscaping companies ask about lead generation agencies
How much should a landscaping company pay per lead in the US?
Price per estimate visit, not per lead. Use the Estimate-Visit Ceiling: project value × visit-to-contract rate × acquisition share. At US$40,000, 25% and 10%, the ceiling is US$1,000 per estimate visit, before your own visit costs.
Can an agency use AI voice calls to follow up landscaping leads?
Yes, with the right consent. The FCC’s February 2024 declaratory ruling confirmed that AI-generated voices are “artificial or prerecorded voice” under the TCPA, so the TCPA’s consent rules for those calls apply.
Should design-build and maintenance leads go to the same agency?
They can, but they should never share one cost-per-lead target. A US$40,000 hardscape project and a US$3,000-a-year maintenance contract support very different prices per enquiry.
Is there a lead generation agency that only works with landscapers?
Landscape Leadership says it has served the green industry exclusively since 2008. Footbridge Media works only with trade contractors and runs a landscaper program.
How is this list different from your Australian landscaping ranking?
The Australian page compares Australian agencies in AUD under Australian rules. This page compares agencies serving US landscapers, in US dollars, under US rules such as the TCPA.
