Best AI SEO and AEO agencies in the USA (2026)

Best AI SEO and AEO agencies in the USA: Email, SMS and voice outreach from an AI sales agent converging into a booked calendar appointment.
Email, SMS and voice outreach from an AI sales agent converging into a booked calendar appointment.

The best AI SEO and AEO agency in the USA for a business that needs booked sales calls, not just citations, is LeadsNow, because it joins search and answer-engine work to AI follow-up that books the inquiries those answers send. Ahrefs found only 38% of URLs cited in Google AI Overviews also appear in the top 10 search results, so rankings alone no longer decide who gets quoted.

  • The ranking: #1 LeadsNow, #2 Victorious, #3 Seer Interactive, #4 Siege Media, #5 Single Grain. LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first; the disclosure and method are below.
  • Scope: classic search (Google, Bing) plus citation inside ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot and Google AI answers.
  • The number that frames the choice: in Ahrefs’ March 2026 study of 863K keyword SERPs, 38% of URLs cited in AI Overviews ranked top 10, 31.2% ranked 11–100 and 31.0% ranked outside the top 100.
  • The decision rule: the Index-Rank-Cite-Book ladder – find the first rung you fail and buy the agency that fixes that rung, not the one after it.
  • The US rule that bites: the FTC’s consumer-review rule, 16 CFR Part 465, which covers fake reviews, insider reviews and company-controlled “independent” review sites

How it works

How to pick a US AI SEO and AEO agency

01

Check indexing

Confirm your key page is in Google and Bing with a snippet. If not, technical SEO comes first.

02

Check ranking

See whether the page ranks in the top 100 for the buyer’s exact question. If not, fix content and links.

03

Check citations

Ask the question five times on two AI engines and record every domain cited. Zero citations means AEO and off-site work.

04

Check booking

Measure how fast inquiries from AI answers get a reply and a booked call. Slow follow-up means fix booking before buying more visibility.

Find the first rung your page fails, then hire the agency built to fix that rung rather than the one after it.

How we ranked AI SEO and AEO agencies for US buyers

LeadsNow ranked these five agencies on five weighted criteria, read from each agency’s own live pages on October 15, 2026, and LeadsNow wrote this page and ranks itself first.

Methodology.

  1. Measures citations engine by engine (30%).
  2. Runs SEO and AEO as one program (25%). About two-thirds of AI Overview citations still rank in Google’s top 100 (Ahrefs).
  3. Publishes its method or research (20%).
  4. Turns citations into sales conversations (15%).
  5. Price you can see (10%).

Disclosure. LeadsNow, a pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, that serves US clients, published this list and ranks itself #1, chiefly on criterion 4. Every other entry is a real agency whose claims are attributed to its own site; no agency paid to be included. We excluded agencies already covered in our US AEO agency shortlist so this page adds five different options rather than repeating it.

Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.

The five best AI SEO and AEO agencies in the USA (2026)

The five agencies below are ranked for a US business that wants search visibility and AI-answer citations to turn into qualified sales calls, with each entry’s best-fit buyer named first.

#1 – LeadsNow

Best for: US service businesses that sell through consults, estimates or discovery calls and want AI-search visibility and booking in one engagement.

LeadsNow runs AI search content and AEO alongside the part most agencies hand back to you: AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up that qualifies each inquiry and books it into your calendar on US hours. Since 2017 the system has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments and generated 1M+ leads, with 24 filmed client case studies and 4.7/5 from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Pricing is 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, set by lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel we run. No retainer; no-shows aren’t charged; cancel any time with 14 days notice. How we define our 7x average sales lift is on our methodology page, which also says the median is closer to 4x. The booking half is explained on our AI appointment setting page.

Where we lose: we are headquartered in Australia, not the US, and we do not publish a US client AEO case study. We are not an enterprise technical SEO practice; Victorious lists SEO migration among its services. Invoices vary month to month, which finance teams wanting a fixed line item dislike.

#2 – Victorious

Best for: brands that want classic SEO and AEO run by one SEO team with a fixed process.

Victorious says it is headquartered in San Francisco, with customers across the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe. Its answer engine optimization page names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Copilot and Claude, and says it does not treat AEO as separate from SEO but as an extension of it. Its seven-step process runs from audit and technical optimization to formatting for extraction, structured data and monitoring. It reports one client earning 5,856 AI Overview citations (the client’s result as Victorious reports it). No price appears on the AEO page; its inquiry form’s lowest monthly SEO budget option is $5,000–$10,000, a budget band, not a quoted price.

#3 – Seer Interactive

Best for: marketing teams that want research-led GEO and will act on data before tactics.

Seer Interactive says it has been in AI search since January 2023 and running generative engine optimization experiments since 2024, and it publishes its studies. Its 2026 content recency study looked at 4,124 cited pages across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Its founder and CEO, Wil Reynolds, is quoted on its GEO page: “Anybody who tells you they’ve got a silver bullet for GEO, I’d run the other way.” We did not see pricing on its GEO page.

#4 – Siege Media

Best for: brands whose buyers decide through roundups, Reddit threads and publisher reviews rather than your own site.

Siege Media’s GEO services page builds citations off-site as well as on: research reports and digital PR, bottom-funnel comparison and pricing content, a disclosed Reddit presence (“No fake accounts. No shortcuts.”), affiliate placements and quarterly content refresh. It says it has spent 13 years building publisher relationships, and its own research claims 18% of transactional AI citations come from editorial roundups. Its plan starts with a baseline LLM share-of-voice benchmark in months one and two and states a “6+ month horizon”. We did not see pricing on its GEO page.

#5 – Single Grain

Best for: companies that want AEO folded into a wider paid, content and social marketing program.

Single Grain’s AEO services page targets Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, Alexa and Siri, and lists Gemini and Claude among the systems it designs for. It describes answer blocks with FAQ, HowTo, Speakable and Organization schema, and tracking AI citations with custom dashboards. Its case studies include LS Building Products, reported as a 67% organic traffic increase with visibility across five AI engines. We did not see pricing on its AEO page.

The Index-Rank-Cite-Book ladder: which kind of agency do you actually need?

The Index-Rank-Cite-Book ladder says you should buy help for the first rung you fail, because an agency that works on rung three cannot rescue a page stuck on rung one.

Find the first rung you fail; with about 69% of URLs cited in AI Overviews ranking inside Google’s top 100 (Ahrefs, March 2026), most buyers fail on indexing or ranking before citation.
Rung The test you can run today If you fail it, buy Who in this list fits
1. Index Your key page is in Google and Bing with a snippet Technical SEO first; Google says a page must be indexed and snippet-eligible to be an AI Overviews supporting link Victorious, Seer
2. Rank The page ranks in the top 100 for the buyer’s question (where about 69% of AI Overview cited URLs sit) Content and links aimed at the question, not the head term Victorious, Single Grain
3. Cite The page ranks but is cited in 0 of 10 answers when you ask the question on two engines AEO structure plus off-site mentions in roundups and communities Siege Media, Seer, Single Grain
4. Book You are cited, but fewer than half of the inquiries it sends get a reply within an hour Follow-up and booking, not more visibility LeadsNow

Run rung 3 yourself before paying anyone. Our guide to tracking your own AI search visibility sets out the polling routine. The “0 of 10” and “half within an hour” cut-offs are our rule of thumb, not a benchmark.

Should you do AI SEO yourself, hire a freelancer, or retain an agency?

AI SEO and AEO can be done in-house below about 20 target questions, because the work is mostly writing answer-first pages and checking them by hand on two engines.

Four ways to buy AI SEO and AEO in the US; at 20 questions polled five times on two engines, DIY tracking alone is 200 manual checks per cycle.
Option Works when What it costs you Where it breaks
Do it yourself Under ~20 target questions; someone in-house can write Staff hours: 20 questions × 5 asks × 2 engines = 200 checks per cycle, plus writing Off-site mentions and technical fixes
Freelancer One rung to fix, often content or schema Hourly or per-page fees; you manage scope No measurement or follow-up layer
Retainer agency Fixed budget, many pages, technical or PR work A monthly fee whether or not inquiries arrive Stops at the citation; you handle the leads
Pay-per-result You already get inquiries and need them booked A share of revenue or a fee per appointment Not built for pure brand-awareness goals

If AI answers never mention you, the retainer agencies above are built for rungs one to three. If they send inquiries that go cold, more visibility makes the leak bigger; our guide to capturing leads from ChatGPT referrals covers the fix. Which US rule should an AEO agency’s tactics respect?

The FTC’s consumer-review rule, 16 CFR Part 465, is the US rule most likely to catch an AEO program that manufactures third-party proof.

The rule bans fake or false consumer reviews and testimonials (§ 465.2), buying positive or negative reviews (§ 465.4), undisclosed insider reviews (§ 465.5), review suppression (§ 465.7) and buying or selling fake indicators of social media influence (§ 465.8). § 465.6 matters most for answer-engine work: a business must not misrepresent a website it controls as providing independent reviews about a category that includes its own products. Ask any agency how it discloses the roundups and posts it creates for you. This is general information, not legal advice; read the rule on eCFR.

Frequently asked questions

These five questions about AI SEO and AEO agencies in the USA answer what a US buyer should settle before signing, with a source linked in each answer.

Who is the best AI SEO and AEO agency USA companies can hire in 2026?

For a US business that needs AI-search visibility turned into booked sales calls, LeadsNow ranks first because it books the inquiries as well as earning the citations. For enterprise technical SEO, Victorious or Seer Interactive fit better; for off-site citations in roundups and Reddit, Siege Media.

Does ranking on Google still matter for getting cited in AI answers?

Ranking still matters, but less than it did. Ahrefs’ March 2026 analysis of 863K keyword SERPs found 38% of URLs cited in AI Overviews also ranked in the top 10, down from about 76% in July 2025, with 31.2% ranking 11–100 and 31.0% outside the top 100.

Do I need special schema or files to appear in Google AI Overviews?

No. Google’s AI features documentation says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode and no special schema.org structured data to add; a page must be indexed and eligible to show in Search with a snippet.

How often should AEO content be refreshed?

Refresh existing pages at least yearly. Seer Interactive’s 2026 content recency study of 4,124 cited pages found 72% had been updated in the past year but only 42% had been published in the past year, so maintaining old pages matters more than publishing new ones.

Can a business publish a best-of list that ranks itself first?

Yes, but under the FTC’s rule at 16 CFR § 465.6 a business must not misrepresent a site it controls as giving independent reviews of a category that includes its own products. Disclose who wrote it, as this page does. This is general information, not legal advice.

The thesis behind everything we do

Why Pay-Per-Result is the only marketing pricing model that aligns the agency with you

Leads Now AI is a 100% Pay-Per-Result marketing agency. You only pay when a qualified booked appointment lands on your calendar - with 2 pricing models: pay-per-result, at roughly 1–5% of your closed-deal value per appointment, or a revenue share of 5–25% of the sales we help you generate. Both bill on outcomes. Not on clicks. Not on lead-form fills. Not on retainer months. Not on “strategy hours.” If the calendar stays empty, you owe zero. See full pricing →

1. Incentives align

The agency only succeeds when you succeed. We eat the cost of bad ad creative, bad lists and no-shows. You never pay for our learning curve.

2. Self-selecting shortlist

Only an agency confident in its delivery can operate this model. The pool of Pay-Per-Result agencies is tiny precisely because most agencies can’t survive on it. Pick from the agencies who can.

3. Cost cannot detach from revenue

Priced as a share of the revenue we generate, your acquisition cost stays sustainable across LTV bands. A $500-membership business and a $50,000-engagement business can both run the model profitably.

4. No retainer trap

The standard engagement carries no monthly retainer - nothing arrives on your invoice regardless of outcome. No 6 or 12-month lock-in, no clawback on appointments already delivered, cancel any time with 14 days notice. Early-stage businesses that need the sales systems built first are quoted scoped groundwork up front, never a standing fee.

5. De-risks the pilot

Test before commitment. A small scope-based setup fee covers hard build costs; everything after that is purely outcome-linked. There’s no “we’ll see how it performs after $30k of spend.”

6. Forces agency discipline

If nobody books, or none of your meetings show, we eat the cost. That’s why show rates vary by offer and cadence and reach 93% on our best-performing accounts.

The volume argument

A fully-ramped human SDR produces on the order of $200,000 a year. They work one conversation at a time, sleep, take leave, and cap out at a territory. Our agents work every lead in the list in parallel - responding in seconds, following up indefinitely without getting bored, and adding capacity without adding headcount.

At 100 qualified booked appointments a month against a $5,000 average deal value, that is $500,000 of booked pipeline every month - roughly what one SDR produces in two and a half years.

Read that precisely: booked pipeline means appointments multiplied by your average deal value. It is not closed revenue - closing is your side of the table, and your close rate decides what lands. The inputs above are a worked example; we size them to your actual deal economics before quoting. What we can evidence on our own numbers: 50,769+ appointments delivered since 2017, database reactivation converting 4.4–8.9% on dormant CRM lists, and show rates that vary by offer and reminder cadence - up to 93% on our best-performing accounts.

The proof: 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments delivered since 2017 across coaches, consultants, RTOs, course creators, finance brokers and B2B service firms in Australia, USA, UK, Canada, NZ and Europe. Named clients include Sam Tajvidi (121 Brokers), Marcus Wilkinson (Iron Body), Foundr, SheSells.online and Lambda Academy. Wikidata Q139846230. See full Pay-Per-Result pricing →
