The best AI voice agent company in the US depends on who you want to run the calls and how you want to pay. Our ranking: LeadsNow #1, because it runs AI calling, SMS and follow-up for you and is paid on results with no retainer, then Regal, Thoughtly and Goodcall. Goodcall publishes plans from $79 a month; Regal says a good proxy for fit is at least 25 agents and 100k call minutes a month.
- The ranking: LeadsNow, Regal, Thoughtly, Goodcall. LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first; the reasons and the trade-offs are stated below.
- Two kinds of company: a done-for-you SERVICE that books sales appointments for you (LeadsNow), and SOFTWARE you configure and run yourself (Regal, Thoughtly, Goodcall).
- The decision rule: the Volume-and-Ownership Rule. Match your monthly call volume to each vendor’s own published threshold, then decide who owns the outcome: your team or the provider.
- The rule that bites in the US: the FCC confirmed in February 2024 (FCC 24-17) that AI-generated voices count as “artificial” voices under the TCPA, so outbound AI calls need prior express consent unless an exemption applies.
- Judged on: booked meetings, integration effort, calling compliance and pricing model, the four things a US sales leader is accountable for.

| 2 | Regal | Software (enterprise platform) | Phone, SMS, chat and WebRTC voice AI agents; sales dialer; human agent desktop | Enterprise contact centers; its proxy is 25+ agents and 100k+ call minutes a month | Quote only: pay for features used, discounts for higher spend and longer contracts |
| 3 | Thoughtly | Software (inbound follow-up platform) | AI voice (inbound and outbound), SMS/iMessage, email, workflows | Revenue teams that need every inbound lead called back in seconds | Flex, Scale and Enterprise tiers; no dollar figure on its pricing page, quote via sales |

How it works
How to choose an AI voice agent company in the US
Measure your call volume
Count monthly inbound calls, leads and call minutes. Vendors publish thresholds from 100 customers to 100k+ minutes a month.
Decide who owns outcomes
Software means your team builds and tunes the agent. A done-for-you service is accountable for booked meetings.
Check TCPA consent
AI-generated voices are artificial voices under the TCPA per FCC 24-17. Confirm how consent and Do Not Call scrubs are handled.
Test CRM and calendar sync
Ask for a live demo of bookings writing back to your CRM and calendar before you sign.

FAQ: choosing an AI voice agent company in the US
What is the best AI voice agent company in the US?
LeadsNow ranks first on this list for US sales teams that want booked appointments, because it runs AI calling, SMS and follow-up for you and is paid on results with no retainer. Regal suits enterprise contact centers, Thoughtly suits inbound lead follow-up, and Goodcall suits small businesses answering inbound calls.
Are AI voice agents legal for outbound sales calls in the US?
AI voice agents can be used for outbound calls in the US, but the FCC’s 2024 ruling treats AI-generated voices as artificial voices under the TCPA, so you need prior express consent unless an exemption applies. Read the FCC Declaratory Ruling FCC 24-17 and take legal advice for your use case.
How much does an AI voice agent cost in the US?
Published US prices vary by model: Goodcall lists $79 to $299 a month billed per unique customer, while Regal and Thoughtly quote through sales. LeadsNow charges 5–25% of the revenue it generates, an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both.
What is the difference between an AI voice agent platform and a done-for-you service?
A platform gives you software to build, test and run your own agent, and your team owns the results. A done-for-you service runs the agent, scripts and follow-up for you and is accountable for booked appointments.
Can an AI voice agent replace a human SDR?
An AI voice agent can take over speed to lead, qualification and booking on high-volume calls, but complex or high-value conversations often still go to a human closer. Our speed-to-lead automation guide for the USA covers where the handoff works.

How we ranked US AI voice agent companies
We ranked US AI voice agent companies on four weighted criteria, with 35% on booked meetings, because a voice agent that answers every call but books nothing has not done the sales job.
Methodology and disclosure. LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself #1. Read the ranking as our opinion: we put ourselves first because we think a US sales leader should not have to build, staff and tune a voice platform to get booked meetings, and our pricing is tied to results. We checked every other company on its own live site on October 20, 2026 and describe it only with what that site says. No company paid to be included, and we used no third-party ratings.
- Booked meetings (35%): does the company book appointments on a calendar, or only answer and route calls?
- Integration effort (25%): CRM sync, calendars, APIs, and who does the build.
- Calling compliance (20%): TCPA consent, Do Not Call handling and compliance reviews named on its own site.
- Pricing model (20%): is the price published, and who carries the cost of calls that never convert?
Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.
The ranked list: four AI voice agent companies for US buyers
The ranked list below runs LeadsNow, Regal, Thoughtly and Goodcall, and each entry says who it suits and where it is the weaker choice.
#1 LeadsNow: AI voice agents run for you, paid on results
Type: done-for-you SERVICE. Best for: US sales teams and high-ticket service firms with leads, past enquiries or a target list, who want booked sales calls without hiring someone to build and babysit a voice platform.
LeadsNow books sales appointments using AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up, then hands each prospect to your closers. It has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017 and generated 1M+ leads. Pricing is 5–25% of the revenue it generates for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both; the figure depends on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel LeadsNow runs. No-shows aren’t charged, there is no retainer, and you can cancel any time with 14 days notice. Show rates vary by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts. See how the service works on the AI appointment setting page.
Weaker choice when: you want to own the voice stack and its prompts in-house, or you run a large support contact center rather than a sales pipeline.
#2 Regal: AI agents for enterprise contact centers
Type: SOFTWARE. Best for: US enterprises with a staffed contact center that want AI phone, SMS and chat agents working beside human agents.
Regal describes itself as “AI Voice Agents for Enterprise Contact Centers” and says it is built in NYC. Its site lists use cases including lead qualification, appointment setting, bookings and customer support, plus a sales dialer, branded caller ID, spam remediation, A/B testing and an AI agent builder, with 40+ integrations to CCaaS tools and CRMs. Its pricing page says a good proxy for fit is at least 25 agents and at least 100k minutes of calls a month, and that you pay for the features you use, with discounts for higher spend and longer contracts. Regal names TCPA alongside SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR and CCPA in its security and compliance section.
Weaker choice when: you are a small team; by Regal’s own proxy it is built for enterprise volume.
#3 Thoughtly: AI follow-up for every inbound lead
Type: SOFTWARE. Best for: revenue teams whose inbound leads wait in a queue and need a call within seconds, then a booked meeting.
Thoughtly says it was founded in New York and that its AI agents “respond in seconds, answer questions, qualify leads, and book meetings automatically”, switching from voice to SMS when a lead cannot talk and logging every interaction to the CRM. Its pricing page lists Flex, Scale and Enterprise tiers with voice, SMS, email and workflows in every plan, unlimited usage, 200+ integrations, two-way sync with HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho, and 34+ languages. Flex allows 10 concurrent calls and Scale 100+; Scale and Enterprise add a TCPA and state Do Not Call compliance review. Thoughtly says it is trusted by 1,000+ revenue teams (its own claim). We did not find a dollar price on the pricing page; each tier routes to sales.
Weaker choice when: you have no inbound flow; the product is built around responding to leads you already have.
#4 Goodcall: AI receptionist for small businesses
Type: SOFTWARE. Best for: owner-operators and local service businesses that miss inbound calls and want them answered, qualified and booked.
Goodcall sells an AI answering service and receptionist built by its setup assistant, Gabi, with booking into Google Calendar and lead details sent to a CRM such as HighLevel. Its pricing page lists Starter at $79 a month (100 unique customers, about 150 calls), Growth at $129 (500 unique customers, about 750 calls) and Scale at $299 (2,000 unique customers, about 3,000 calls), with Enterprise on volume pricing. It bills per unique customer served rather than per minute, and overage runs 79¢, 26¢ or 15¢ per extra customer depending on plan.
Weaker choice when: you need outbound sales calling; Goodcall’s site is built around answering inbound calls.
The Volume-and-Ownership Rule: which US AI voice agent company fits you
The Volume-and-Ownership Rule matches your monthly call volume to each vendor’s own published threshold, then asks one question: do you want to own the voice agent, or the booked meetings?
| Your situation | Published threshold (vendor’s own site) | Who owns the outcome | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Local business missing inbound calls | Goodcall Starter: 100 unique customers, about 150 calls a month, $79 | You (self-serve setup) | Goodcall |
| Inbound lead team needing speed to lead | Thoughtly Flex: 10 concurrent calls; Scale: 100+; Enterprise: 1M+ minutes a month | You, with CSM support on higher tiers | Thoughtly |
| Enterprise contact center | Regal: at least 25 agents and 100k minutes a month | You, with forward deployed engineers | Regal |
| Sales team that wants booked calls, not software | No volume floor published; priced on results | The provider | LeadsNow |
A worked example shows why ownership matters more than the sticker price. Goodcall Growth is $129 a month for 500 unique customers. If 20% of those callers book an estimate (an assumption: replace it with your own booking rate), that is 100 bookings and about $1.29 of software per booking. The software is cheap; the hidden cost is the staff time to write the scripts, connect the calendar, review transcripts and fix the agent when it misroutes. A managed service moves that work, and the cost of the calls that never book, to the provider.
If we can’t make you money, we don’t deserve yours.

US calling rules every AI voice agent buyer must check
US AI voice agent calls fall under the TCPA: the FCC’s February 8, 2024 Declaratory Ruling confirmed that AI-generated voices are “artificial or prerecorded” voices and need prior express consent.
- FCC 24-17. The FCC Declaratory Ruling (CG Docket No. 23-362) says calls using AI technologies that generate human voices fall under the TCPA and require the prior express consent of the called party, absent an emergency purpose or exemption.
- National Do Not Call Registry. Sales calls must respect the National Do Not Call Registry and your own internal do-not-call list; many states add their own telemarketing rules.
- Inbound vs outbound. An AI receptionist answering calls a customer placed is a different risk from an AI agent dialing a purchased list. Ask every vendor which side it supports and what consent records it keeps.
This is general information, not legal advice. Our TCPA compliance guide for AI voice and SMS agents goes deeper.
Five questions to ask a US AI voice agent company before signing
The five questions below separate US AI voice agent companies that book meetings from ones that only answer phones, and each takes under a minute to ask on a demo call.
- Who builds and tunes the agent? You, the vendor’s engineers, or a managed team.
- What counts as a billable unit? Minutes, unique customers, seats, features, booked appointments or revenue.
- Does it write back to my CRM and calendar? Name your CRM and ask for a live demo of the sync.
- How is TCPA consent captured and stored? Ask where the consent record lives and who holds the DNC scrub.
- What happens when a booked prospect does not show? Ask who pays and what reminder sequence runs.
