The best marketing agency for a US car dealership is the one that can show you what each booked sales appointment costs against the gross that appointment is worth. Our ranking: LeadsNow #1 for pay-per-result lead follow-up and booked appointments, then C-4 Analytics (full-service, founded 2009) and Dealer Teamwork (published packages with one-time charges from $499, plus media management fees).
- The ranking: 1. LeadsNow, 2. C-4 Analytics, 3. Dealer Teamwork. LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first; the methodology and our reasons are below.
- Two different jobs: full-service automotive agencies buy and manage media, SEO, creative and OEM co-op programs; a performance model like LeadsNow works the leads you already pay for until a buyer is booked into a sales consultant’s calendar.
- The decision rule: the Gross-per-Appointment Ceiling. A booked appointment is worth gross profit per retailed unit × show rate × close rate. Never pay more than that for one, all-in.
- Judge on booked revenue, not impressions: divide total monthly marketing cost (media plus fees) by the sales appointments that actually showed.
- Regulation: the FTC’s CARS Rule for auto dealers was vacated by the Fifth Circuit on January 27, 2025, but calls and texts to leads still sit under the federal TCPA.

How it works
How a US dealership judges a marketing agency
Set the ceiling
Multiply gross per retailed unit by show rate and close rate. That is the most one booked appointment is worth.
Total the monthly cost
Add media spend, management fees and any one-time charges spread over the term.
Count held appointments
Pull sales appointments that actually showed from the CRM, not leads or clicks.
Compare and decide
Divide cost by held appointments. Keep agencies under the ceiling and fix follow-up before buying more traffic.
MAKE MORE SALES.
Pay-Per-Result pricing — We scale sales HARD aligned to your interests, better than anyone else.
FAQ
Best marketing agency for car dealerships US: who should I hire?

The best marketing agencies for car dealerships in the US (2026)
The best marketing agencies for car dealerships in the US in 2026, ranked, are LeadsNow, C-4 Analytics and Dealer Teamwork, each described only with facts from its own site.
#1 LeadsNow: pay-per-result follow-up that turns paid leads into booked appointments
Best for: dealerships already buying traffic and third-party leads whose BDC cannot reach every internet lead, trade-in valuation and stalled deal.
LeadsNow is a Melbourne-based pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency. Its AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up works the leads a business already pays for and books sales appointments into its calendar. Since 2017 LeadsNow has delivered 50,769+ AI-booked appointments and 1M+ leads, holds a 4.7/5 rating from 60 Google and Facebook reviews and has 24 filmed client case studies. Show rate varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on its best-performing accounts. LeadsNow also works dormant records through database reactivation.
Pricing is a revenue share of 5–25% of the revenue LeadsNow generates for you, a fee per appointment, or a mix of both. The figure depends on lead volume, what you sell and its price, the type of business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel LeadsNow runs. No-shows aren’t charged, and bad lists, bad ad creative and the cost of contacting the people who never book are LeadsNow’s cost. The dealership funds its own media.
Pick a full-service agency instead if you need someone to buy your media, run inventory ads, manage SEO or enroll you in an OEM co-op program. LeadsNow does none of those, and none of its cleared case studies is a car dealership.
#2 C-4 Analytics: full-service automotive digital marketing
Best for: franchised dealers and groups that want one team for paid media, SEO, social, video and creative, inside their OEM program.
C-4 Analytics says it was founded in 2009, employs hundreds of digital marketing specialists across offices in Wakefield, Massachusetts, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Chicago, and has served thousands of dealerships across North America. Its site lists paid advertising, SEO and AI search, social, video and creative services, plus BDC consulting. It is an approved solutions provider for OEM programs including Acura, Audi, FordDirect, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Stellantis and Subaru, and says dealers pay ad networks directly. We found no price on its homepage or About page, and its /pricing URL returns a 404, so ask for a quote and a sample report.
#3 Dealer Teamwork: OEM-certified paid media with published packages
Best for: single-point or mid-size dealers who want to see a package structure before the first call.
Dealer Teamwork is based in Minnetonka, Minnesota, and runs campaigns through its patented MPOP platform, which publishes new, used and service offers to dynamic landing pages and paid search ads in real time. It says it is a certified digital provider for 17 OEM programs and a 2026 Google Premier Partner for the ninth consecutive year. Its packages page lists Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers for media spends of $1,000–$5,000, $5,000–$10,000 and $10,000+, with one-time charges of $499, $599 and $999 plus media management fees that are not listed, and notes pricing is subject to change.

How we ranked marketing agencies for car dealerships
LeadsNow ranked marketing agencies for car dealerships on booked revenue rather than impressions, and LeadsNow wrote this page, so read our #1 placement as an argument, not a verdict.
Methodology and disclosure. Every agency was checked on its own live site on October 27, 2026; every fact is attributed to that site, and we say where pricing is not listed. No agency paid to appear. Criteria and weights:
- Accountability for booked appointments (35%): does the agency report, or get paid on, sales appointments and sales rather than clicks and leads?
- Automotive evidence on its own site (25%): dealer clients, OEM program status, inventory-aware campaigns.
- Pricing transparency (20%): can you turn the fee into a cost per held appointment before you sign?
- Coverage of the funnel (20%): media, website and follow-up, and who owns each.
LeadsNow ranks itself first because it is paid on booked outcomes, which scores highest on our first criterion. It loses on automotive evidence and media coverage, and we say so in its entry.
The Gross-per-Appointment Ceiling: what one booked sales appointment is worth to a dealer
The Gross-per-Appointment Ceiling says a US car dealership should never pay more for a booked sales appointment than gross profit per retailed unit × show rate × close rate.
Every input below is an assumption to replace with your own DMS numbers: gross per retailed unit means front plus back gross, and the show and close rates are illustrative bands, not measured benchmarks.
| Gross per retailed unit (assumption) | Show 50% × close 30% (factor 0.15) | Show 70% × close 40% (factor 0.28) |
|---|---|---|
| $2,000 | $300 | $560 |
| $3,500 | $525 | $980 |
| $5,000 | $750 | $1,400 |
Worked example, middle cell: $3,500 × 0.70 × 0.40 = $980. Now convert any agency into the same unit. If a dealer spends $15,000 a month all-in (media plus fees) and the CRM shows 40 sales appointments that turned up, the cost is $15,000 ÷ 40 = $375 per held appointment, which clears the $980 ceiling. At 12 held appointments the same spend costs $1,250 each, more than the $980 each appointment is worth. The quotable version: a dealership agency is worth what it costs per held appointment, not what it costs per lead.
Raising show rate moves the ceiling as much as cutting cost, and a cheap lead you never reach is not cheap; see speed-to-lead automation in the US and the US cost per booked call benchmarks.
If we can’t make you money, we don’t deserve yours.

Full-service agency or performance model: which should a dealership pick?
A full-service automotive agency suits a dealership that needs more traffic, while a performance model suits one that already has traffic and loses buyers between the lead and the showroom.
- Pick a full-service agency (C-4 Analytics, Dealer Teamwork) if your inventory ads, search campaigns, SEO or OEM co-op enrollment are missing or underperforming. They are built to generate demand.
- Pick a performance model (LeadsNow) if leads arrive but too few become shown appointments: internet leads left overnight, trade-in valuations nobody chased, test drives that did not close on the day.
- Many groups run both: the agency fills the top of the funnel and the performance partner works every lead it produces. Measure both on the same cost per held appointment.

What US rules affect car dealership marketing in 2026?
The FTC’s CARS Rule for auto dealers was vacated by the Fifth Circuit on January 27, 2025, so US dealer advertising is governed by existing federal and state law rather than that rule.
- CARS Rule: the FTC’s own litigation report records the judgment “granting petition for review and vacating rule” in National Automobile Dealers Association v. FTC, No. 24-60013, entered January 27, 2025.
- Calls and texts: any agency calling or texting your leads works under the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act and any state telemarketing law. Ask every agency how it records consent and honors opt-outs.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check advertising and contact rules with your counsel and state dealer association.
How the US list differs from our Australian car dealer pages
The US car dealership market runs on OEM co-op programs and TCPA consent, which is why this list differs from LeadsNow’s Australian ranking of lead generation agencies for car dealers in Australia.
For how dormant dealer records become appointments, see lead generation for car dealerships. For US providers that only book the appointments, see the best appointment setting agencies for car dealerships in the US.
