Exclusive home based business leads are opt-in contacts of people who asked about working from home or starting a home business, sold to one buyer only. On 2026-10-27, RealTimeLeads.com listed exclusive packs at $1.20 to $5.95 a lead, depending on how much qualifying data each carries, against 29.7 cents a lead for LeadPower’s Leads Club subscription, which does not state that its leads are exclusive. Most buyers are network marketers and work-from-home opportunity sellers.
The short answer from LeadsNow AI: Exclusive home based business leads cost $1.20 to $5.95 each from the sellers LeadsNow checked, and they only beat the same seller’s standard leads if they lift your conversations by more than the 32% to 59% price premium. Judge every list on cost per real conversation, and confirm the consent covers you before any automated call or text.

At a glance
- What they are: form fills from US (and some Canadian) adults asking about a home business, sold by lead vendors to MLM distributors and business opportunity sellers.
- Exclusive price, 2026-10-27: $1.20 a lead (500 exclusive express leads) to $4.95 a lead (20 exclusive surveyed) to $5.95 a lead (20 exclusive phone-interviewed) at RealTimeLeads.com.
- Cheaper non-exclusive options: LeadPower Leads Club is $49 a month for 165 leads (29.7 cents each), with no exclusivity stated; its Self Serve leads start at 2 cents and are shared with up to 3 buyers.
- Not what you meant? If you run a home services company (roofing, HVAC, remodeling) and want exclusive homeowner leads, read lead generation for home services companies in the USA instead.
Rules of thumb
- Exclusive surveyed leads at RealTimeLeads.com cost $4.59 each in a 100-pack versus $3.49 for its standard surveyed leads: exclusivity must lift conversations by at least 32% (4.59 / 3.49 = 1.32) to break even.
- For phone-interviewed leads the premium is bigger: $5.69 versus $3.59 in a 100-pack, so exclusivity has to earn about 59% more conversations.
- Price a list per conversation, not per lead: at a 40% contact rate, 100 exclusive surveyed leads for $459 cost $11.48 per conversation (worked example below).
- Never autodial, auto-text or AI-call a purchased lead unless the signed consent authorizes you as the seller (47 CFR 64.1200).

Exclusive home based business leads cost $1.20 to $5.95 each at RealTimeLeads.com on 2026-10-27, depending on lead type and pack size, while LeadPower’s Self Serve and Leads Club products, neither sold as exclusive, cost from 2 cents to 29.7 cents.
Prices are the sellers’ own, in USD, read on their pages on 2026-10-27, excluding optional targeting fees.

The word “exclusive” alone tells you little: the exclusive express leads are cheaper than the non-exclusive surveyed leads because they carry less qualifying data. Compare like with like.
How it works
How to test a home business lead list before you scale it
Get exclusivity in writing
Ask how many buyers get each record and whether it is resold later. Ask for the consent wording the prospect agreed to.
Buy a test pack
Start with the smallest pack, often 20 leads. Log every dial and outcome.
Price per conversation
Divide the pack price by real conversations, then by enrolments. Compare exclusive and standard leads on the same basis.
Scale the winner
Exclusive leads earn a bigger order only if they beat the price ratio, 1.32x on surveyed leads at one seller.
MAKE MORE SALES.

FAQ: exclusive home based business leads
Are exclusive home based business leads worth it?
Exclusive home based business leads are worth it only when they lift your conversations or enrolments by more than their price premium. At RealTimeLeads.com’s 100-lead prices on 2026-10-27, exclusive surveyed leads cost 32% more than its standard surveyed leads, so exclusivity has to buy you at least 32% more conversations to break even.
What makes a home business lead exclusive?
A home business lead is exclusive when the seller promises to sell that record to one buyer only. RealTimeLeads.com says its exclusive packages are “sold to only one customer”, while LeadPower says its Self Serve leads are “shared with no more than 3 buyers”. Get the seller’s definition in writing, including whether it covers resale later.
Can I text or autodial purchased home business leads?
Purchased home business leads can only be autodialed, texted by autodialer or called with an AI or prerecorded voice if you hold prior express written consent that authorizes you as the seller, under 47 CFR 64.1200(a)(2) and (f)(9). The FCC confirmed in Declaratory Ruling FCC 24-17 that AI-generated voices count as artificial voices under the TCPA. This is general information, not legal advice.
Does the FTC Business Opportunity Rule apply to MLM distributors?
The FTC Business Opportunity Rule largely excludes MLM: the Commission’s 2011 final rule notice says it will keep challenging deceptive MLM practices under Section 5 of the FTC Act instead. Non-MLM work-at-home opportunities are covered and must hand buyers a one-page disclosure document at least seven days before they pay.

Is an exclusive home business lead worth the premium? The 1.32x rule
An exclusive home business lead is worth its premium only if it produces at least 1.32 times the conversations of the seller’s standard lead, the price ratio at RealTimeLeads.com’s 100-lead surveyed packs.
The ratio is an upper bound on what exclusivity alone has to earn: RealTimeLeads.com’s exclusive surveyed leads also carry 6 additional qualifying questions and a postal address that its standard surveyed product page does not list.
No credible public benchmark exists for contact or enrolment rates on purchased home business leads, and LeadPower labels its own testimonials “not typical”. The worked example therefore uses three assumption bands: replace them with your own numbers after 100 leads.
| Assumption band | Contact rate (assumed) | Conversations | Cost per conversation | Enrol rate per conversation (assumed) | Enrolments | Cost per enrolment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Low | 25% | 25 | $18.36 | 4% | 1.0 | $459 |
| Middle | 40% | 40 | $11.48 | 8% | 3.2 | $143 |
| High | 55% | 55 | $8.35 | 12% | 6.6 | $70 |
Now apply the 1.32x rule. If the same seller’s standard surveyed leads ($349 per 100) reach 30% of people, exclusive leads must reach at least 39.6% (30% x 1.32) to cost the same per conversation. For phone-interviewed leads the threshold is 1.59x ($569 / $359): a 30% shared contact rate has to become 47.6% exclusive. If your tracking does not show that lift after a test pack, exclusivity is costing you money.
Time is the cost most buyers leave out. At an assumed three call attempts per lead and two minutes per attempt, 100 leads take about 10 hours of dialing before any presentation. That labor costs the same at $0.30 or $5.95 a lead, which is the real case for paying more: fewer dead numbers per hour.

How do lead sellers define an exclusive home business lead?
Lead sellers define an exclusive home business lead as a record sold to one customer only, but each seller sets its own terms for qualification, age and replacement.
- Exclusive: RealTimeLeads.com says its exclusive packages are sold to one customer and delivered in real time. Its exclusive phone-interviewed leads also require the prospect to confirm at least $100 available to start a business.
- Shared: LeadPower’s Self Serve leads are shared with no more than 3 buyers and “never twice to you”.
- Exclusive by construction: leads from a campaign under your own name reach nobody else.
Before you pay, ask whether the record is resold later, what counts as an invalid lead for replacement, and what exactly the prospect consented to.
What US rules apply to calling purchased home business leads?
Purchased home business leads fall under the TCPA consent rules for automated calls and texts, the National Do Not Call Registry, and, for non-MLM opportunities, the FTC Business Opportunity Rule.
- Automated calls and texts. Under 47 CFR 64.1200(a)(2), telemarketing calls to wireless numbers using an autodialer or an artificial or prerecorded voice need prior express written consent. The definition in (f)(9) requires a signed agreement that “clearly authorizes the seller”, so consent given to a lead vendor’s form must name or clearly cover you.
- AI voices. In FCC 24-17 (February 2024) the FCC confirmed that the TCPA’s “artificial or prerecorded voice” rules cover AI technologies that generate human voices. LeadsNow covers this in more depth in AI cold calling and the TCPA.
- Do Not Call. The same section defines an inquiry-based business relationship as lasting three months from the consumer’s inquiry about the calling entity’s products. Whether a vendor’s form counts as an inquiry to you is a question for your lawyer.
- Business opportunity sellers. The FTC Business Opportunity Rule requires covered sellers to give a one-page disclosure document at least seven days before a buyer signs or pays, and any earnings claim must be in writing and backed up. The FTC’s 2011 final rule notice (effective March 1, 2012) excludes most MLMs, which the FTC polices under Section 5 of the FTC Act instead.
This is general information, not legal advice; state laws can add more.

What are the red flags when buying home business leads?
The main red flags when buying home business leads are vague exclusivity terms, no stated consent wording, no replacement policy, and brands that may share one supplier.
- Shared storefronts. mlmleads.com and realtimeleads.com list the same toll-free contact number on their sites. Two brands may share one supplier, so lists can overlap.
- Income promises in the pitch. Any earnings claim you make to these prospects is your liability under FTC rules, whatever the lead seller said.
Should you buy home business leads or generate your own?
Generating your own home business leads is the only way to get exclusivity you can verify, and the options rank by how much of the exclusivity and consent you control.
- Your own campaign, run by you or for you. Ads and a form under your own name make every lead exclusive and put your business name in the consent. If your home-based business sells a real product or service with a deal value big enough to share, LeadsNow can run this for you: it generates the leads and books sales calls using AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up through its AI appointment setting service, priced as 5–25% of the revenue it generates for you (revenue share) or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. The rate depends on lead volume, what is sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part of the funnel LeadsNow runs. LeadsNow has 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017. A distributor spending $49 a month on leads is not that buyer.
- LeadPower Done-For-You Facebook Campaigns. Exclusive by construction, listed “from $495 setup”; ask what ad spend sits on top.
- RealTimeLeads.com exclusive packs. Seller-promised exclusivity at $1.20 to $5.95 a lead; test 20 before buying 200.
- Non-exclusive lists. LeadPower Leads Club or Self Serve, from 2 cents to 29.7 cents a lead; cheapest per record, but Self Serve records go to up to 3 buyers and Leads Club states no exclusivity.
Whichever you pick, measure it the same way: cost per conversation and cost per enrolment, as in the worked example above. LeadsNow’s guide to calculating cost per booked call walks through the tracking, and old leads you already paid for can be worked again through database reactivation.
