The best lead generation agency for a US managed IT provider (MSP) is the one that delivers the most qualified first meetings with business owners and office managers at a cost per lead below what a signed managed services agreement can carry. Our ranking: #1 LeadsNow, #2 MSP Launchpad, #3 Channel Hunters. On our labeled middle-band example, an MSP can pay up to $2,700 per qualified meeting and still break even.
LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first: it books sales calls with AI calling, SMS, DM and email follow-up, is paid through a revenue share, a fee per appointment, or a mix of both, and has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017 and generated 1M+ leads. MSP Launchpad and Channel Hunters were checked on their own sites on October 28, 2026, and both say they work specifically for MSPs.
- #1 LeadsNow: done-for-you AI calling, SMS, DM and email follow-up that turns inbound enquiries, outbound lists and old quotes into booked calls; paid on results.
- #2 MSP Launchpad: inbound specialist for MSPs (Google Ads, local SEO, Google Maps advertising, landing pages); publishes a $3,999 per month done-for-you price, month to month, ad budget separate.
- #3 Channel Hunters: outbound appointment setting for MSPs, MSSPs, VARs and vendors through targeted calling and email; describes a no-contract approach.
- The test: qualified lead volume, cost per lead and lead quality, rolled into one number: cost per qualified meeting, checked against what one signed contract is worth.
How the best lead generation agencies for MSPs in the US compare
The three US lead generation options for managed IT providers differ in where the lead comes from: LeadsNow works the leads and lists you have, MSP Launchpad builds local inbound demand, and Channel Hunters cold-calls and emails new prospects.
| Rank | Provider | Model | Channels | MSP focus (from its own site) | Pricing basis (as published) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | LeadsNow | Done-for-you appointment setting, pay per result | AI calling, SMS, DM, email | Books calls from inbound enquiries, outbound lists and dormant past-client databases | 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both |
| 2 | MSP Launchpad | Done-for-you inbound marketing, or a DIY program | Google Ads, local SEO, Google Maps advertising, conversion-focused website and landing pages | Calls itself MSP inbound-marketing specialists; offers exclusivity in your region on the done-for-you plan | DFY $3,999 per month, month to month, Google Ads budget separate; DIY $4,000 per year |
| 3 | Channel Hunters | Outbound lead generation and appointment setting | Targeted calling, email outreach, prospect research, KPI reporting | Serves MSPs, MSSPs, VARs and vendors in the IT channel | No price on the homepage, process or about pages we read; ask for a quote |
Pick by the gap in your funnel. If you already get enquiries and quotes that go nowhere, the fix is follow-up. If nobody in your town can find you, the fix is inbound. If your ideal clients never search, the fix is outbound.
How it works
How a US MSP picks a lead generation agency
Find your funnel gap
Decide whether you lack follow-up, local inbound demand or outbound reach.
Define a qualified meeting
Write down seat count, location and decision-maker title before any outreach starts.
Set your break-even
Multiply first-year gross profit by your meeting-to-signed rate to get the most you can pay per meeting.
Compare cost per meeting
Convert each agency’s fee or cost per lead into cost per qualified meeting and pick the lowest that clears break-even.

FAQ: lead generation agencies for managed IT providers in the US
Best Lead Generation Agencies for Managed IT providers in the US (2026)?
Our 2026 ranking is #1 LeadsNow (pay-per-result AI appointment setting), #2 MSP Launchpad (MSP-only inbound marketing, $3,999 per month published) and #3 Channel Hunters (outbound calling and email for MSPs). Choose by whether your gap is follow-up, inbound demand or outbound reach.
How much should an MSP pay per qualified lead?
An MSP should pay no more per qualified meeting than first-year gross profit times its close rate. With a $2,000 monthly agreement, 45% margin and a 25% close rate, that is $2,700. Use your own numbers in the table above.
Is cold email to businesses legal in the US?
Yes, if it follows CAN-SPAM. The FTC guide says the law makes no exception for business-to-business email, so honest headers and subject lines, a physical address and a working opt-out are required.
Inbound or outbound: which works better for MSPs?
Inbound suits MSPs that want local businesses already searching for IT help; outbound suits MSPs targeting firms that never search.
How does LeadsNow charge MSPs?
LeadsNow charges a revenue share, a fee per appointment, or a mix of both, at 5–25% of the revenue it generates for you or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee. No-shows aren’t charged, and you can cancel any time with 14 days notice.

How we chose and scored these MSP lead generation agencies
LeadsNow scored three providers serving US managed IT businesses on four weighted criteria, checked each third-party entry on its own live site on October 28, 2026, and describes it only with what that site says. Nobody paid to be listed.
Methodology and disclosure. Qualified lead volume, meaning held meetings with someone who can sign a managed services agreement (35%); cost per lead you can convert into a cost per qualified meeting (25%); lead quality controls, such as an agreed written definition of a qualified meeting (25%); handling of US rules for calls and email (15%). LeadsNow wrote this page and scores itself, so read its #1 as a declared interest. We only included firms whose own site shows a service built for MSPs, and we picked different providers from our Australian MSP lead generation ranking, because the US market has its own MSP specialists.
Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.
1. LeadsNow: pay-per-result appointment setting for managed IT providers
LeadsNow ranks first for US MSPs that want enquiries, outbound lists and stale proposals turned into booked calls, paid on results rather than a fixed monthly retainer. LeadsNow calls, texts and messages each new lead within permitted calling hours, follows up by email, then books the conversation into your calendar.
- Pricing: 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. The rate depends on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel LeadsNow runs. Detail is on the LeadsNow pricing page.
- What LeadsNow absorbs: no-shows aren’t charged, and bad ad creative, bad lists and the cost of contacting the thousands of people who never book are LeadsNow’s cost. You fund ad spend where ads are used.
- Proof: 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017; 24 filmed client case studies; 4.7/5 from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Show rates vary by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts.
- Best fit: MSPs with a backlog of unsigned proposals, inbound form fills and past project clients. The booking method is on AI appointment setting.
- Trade-off: LeadsNow works the demand you give it or the lists it builds; it is not a local SEO agency. On a large multi-year contract a revenue share can cost more than a flat fee per meeting.
2. MSP Launchpad: inbound lead generation built only for MSPs
MSP Launchpad is an MSP-only inbound marketing firm whose homepage says it aims to make an MSP the best-known option in its local market, using Google Ads, local SEO and other local lead systems rather than cold calling.
- What it builds: target-market refinement, local SEO, local Google Maps advertising, offers, brand refinements, a conversion-focused website and sales-focused landing pages, which its site says the client owns.
- Price it publishes: its FAQ states the done-for-you program is $3,999 per month, month to month, with the Google Ads budget separate, and the DIY program is $4,000 per year.
- Guarantee it states: on the done-for-you plan, “No leads = Next month’s fees waived”; on DIY, “Money back + $5000”. Its site ties these guarantees to getting no results “per our terms”, so read those terms before you sign.
- Trade-off: inbound takes time to build, and the leads are enquiries, not booked meetings, so you still need someone to answer fast and book them. Your total monthly cost is the fee plus ad spend.
If we can’t make you money, we don’t deserve yours.
Pay-Per-Result pricing — performance-based alignment.
3. Channel Hunters: outbound appointment setting for the IT channel
Channel Hunters is an appointment-setting and lead generation company whose homepage says it serves MSPs, MSSPs, VARs and vendors with targeted calling, strategic email outreach, prospect research and KPI reporting, under a no-contract approach.
- Why it fits: MSPs whose best prospects never search for a new IT provider. Its about page says the team has decades of experience in marketing, call centers and managing MSP operations, with staff from around the world.
- Evidence it publishes: client testimonials from IT businesses on its homepage, including one MSP owner saying first-time appointments rose from 1-3 a year to 1-3 a week. These are client quotes on Channel Hunters’ own site, not audited figures.
- Trade-off: we found no price on the pages we read, so you need a quote to run the cost check below. Cold outbound meetings often need more nurturing than inbound enquiries; agree what counts as a qualified appointment first.
How to turn cost per lead into cost per qualified MSP meeting
An MSP can afford to pay, per qualified meeting, up to first-year contract gross profit multiplied by its meeting-to-signed rate; on our labeled example that ceiling is $2,700. Every input below is an assumption: replace it with your own numbers.
| Input (assumption) | Low band | Middle band | High band |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly recurring revenue per new client | $2,000 | $2,000 | $2,000 |
| Gross margin | 45% | 45% | 45% |
| First-year gross profit ($2,000 x 12 x 45%) | $10,800 | $10,800 | $10,800 |
| Qualified meeting to signed agreement | 15% | 25% | 35% |
| Break-even cost per qualified meeting | $1,620 | $2,700 | $3,780 |
| Qualified meetings a month to cover a $3,999 fee (before ad spend) | 3 | 2 | 2 |
To compare a cost-per-lead quote, divide it by your lead-to-qualified-meeting rate. A $300 lead that becomes a qualified meeting one time in four costs $1,200 per meeting, which clears all three bands. For published booked-call cost ranges in other US niches, see our US cost per booked call benchmarks.
Lead quality is the third variable. Ask each agency to write down, before launch, what makes a meeting qualified for you: seat count, location, decision-maker title, and whether the prospect is under contract with another provider.
US rules that apply to MSP lead generation calls and emails
US B2B cold email to IT buyers falls under CAN-SPAM, and the FTC’s compliance guide says “the law makes no exception for business-to-business email”. The same FTC CAN-SPAM guide puts the penalty at up to $53,088 for each separate violating email.
Calls are looser for B2B. The FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule guide says most calls between a telemarketer and a business are exempt from the rule, with exceptions such as calls selling nondurable office or cleaning supplies. That exemption is about the FTC rule only: ask any agency how it handles TCPA consent for texts and for calls to mobile numbers, and state laws where your prospects are. This is general information, not legal advice.
What to ask an MSP lead generation agency before you sign
Five questions separate MSP lead generation agencies faster than any case study: who pays for no-shows, what counts as qualified, who owns the leads, what you pay beyond the fee, and how you leave.
- Do I pay for a meeting that does not show up?
- What is your written definition of a qualified MSP meeting, and can I change it?
- Who owns the website, ad accounts, lists and recordings if we stop?
- What is my all-in monthly cost, including ad spend, data and tools?
- What notice do I give to cancel, and is there a minimum term?
How the payment model shifts risk between you and the agency is covered in pay per result vs retainer, and the wider B2B picture in our B2B lead generation guide. For other high-ticket service verticals, see lead generation for high-ticket service businesses.
