The best marketing agency for an Australian managed IT provider (MSP) is the one whose work turns into booked revenue, not impressions or rankings. Our 2026 ranking: #1 LeadsNow, #2 Aquinel, #3 Pronto Marketing. On a labelled example, an A$5,000-a-month retainer plus A$3,000 in ads needs about 2 signed managed services agreements every six months to break even.
LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first. LeadsNow is #1 because it is paid on results (a revenue share, a fee per appointment, or a mix of both) and has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017 and generated 1M+ leads. Aquinel and Pronto Marketing were checked on their own sites on 30 October 2026; both publish pages written for MSP marketing.
- #1 LeadsNow: done-for-you AI calling, SMS, DM and email follow-up that turns MSP enquiries and old quotes into booked sales calls, paid on results.
- #2 Aquinel: MSP and B2B SaaS marketing agency for SEO, GEO and AEO (being named in AI answers and found on Google), with published monthly plans.
- #3 Pronto Marketing: full-service MSP marketing (websites, SEO and Google Ads) with published starting prices.
- The test: booked revenue per marketing dollar, checked against the Managed-Agreement Breakeven below.
How the top marketing agencies for Australian MSPs compare
The three marketing options for Australian managed IT providers differ in what they are paid for: a booked result, AI and search visibility, or website, SEO and ad management. Compare each one on signed managed services agreements, not on traffic or rankings.
| Rank | Provider | Model | Channels | MSP relevance (own site) | Pricing basis (as published) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | LeadsNow | Done-for-you appointment setting, performance model | AI calling, SMS, DM, email follow-up | Books sales calls for high-ticket service businesses | 5–25% of the revenue generated, or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both |
| 2 | Aquinel | Monthly retainer, search and AI visibility | SEO, GEO, AEO content | Describes itself as an MSP marketing agency; says it works with firms in Australia | Starter $2,000, Growth $4,000, Authority $7,000 per month (currency not stated on the page) |
| 3 | Pronto Marketing | Full-service monthly plans | Websites, local SEO, Google Ads | Dedicated MSP marketing services page; Australian service not stated on the pages we checked | Local SEO from $1,099 a month, Google Ads from $500 a month (currency not stated on the page) |
Aquinel’s pricing page says it does no paid ads, no outbound and no lead generation, so it fits an MSP that already has a sales process and wants to be found. Pronto’s prices are management fees; ad spend is separate on any Google Ads plan.
How it works
How an MSP judges a marketing agency on booked revenue
Price one agreement
Multiply monthly fee by term and gross margin. That is the gross profit one signed client is worth.
Set the breakeven
Divide six months of retainer plus ad spend by that gross profit. The answer is the agreements you need.
Track held calls
Log every discovery call or IT audit by source in your PSA or CRM.
Review at six months
Count signed agreements against the breakeven. Keep the agency that clears it.
MAKE MORE SALES.

FAQ
What are the best marketing agencies for managed IT providers in Australia (2026)?
Our 2026 ranking is LeadsNow first (pay-per-result AI calling, SMS, DM and email follow-up that books sales calls), Aquinel second (SEO and AI-answer visibility for MSPs) and Pronto Marketing third (MSP websites, local SEO and Google Ads). LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first.
How much do MSP marketing agencies charge?
Published prices vary by model. Aquinel lists plans of $2,000, $4,000 and $7,000 a month on its pricing page, and Pronto Marketing lists local SEO from $1,099 a month and Google Ads management from $500 a month. Neither page states the currency.
How many clients does an MSP marketing retainer need to win to pay off?
Divide total marketing spend by gross profit per signed agreement. On our labelled example (A$48,000 over six months against A$25,200 gross profit per agreement), the retainer needs about 2 signed agreements in six months to break even.
Can a marketing agency email Australian businesses on behalf of an MSP?
Commercial emails and texts in Australia fall under the Spam Act 2003, which the ACMA says requires consent, identification of the sender and a working unsubscribe; see the ACMA spam guidance. Ask your agency how it meets each rule.
How does LeadsNow charge managed IT providers?
LeadsNow charges 5–25% of the revenue it generates for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, depending on lead volume, what is sold and its price, the type of business and which part of the funnel it runs. No-shows aren’t charged, and you can cancel any time with 14 days notice.

How we chose and scored these MSP marketing agencies
LeadsNow scored providers that publish a page for managed IT or MSP marketing on four weighted criteria, and describes each third-party entry only with what its own site said on 30 October 2026. Nobody paid to be listed.
Methodology and disclosure. Criteria and weights: link from the agency’s work to booked revenue, meaning sales calls held and agreements signed (40%); published pricing you can convert into a cost per signed agreement (25%); MSP specialism shown on its own site (20%); fit for Australian buyers, including Spam Act handling for any email or SMS (15%). LeadsNow wrote this page and scores itself, so read its #1 as a declared interest. Agencies already ranked on our lead generation agencies for managed IT providers in Australia page (Lead Express, Callbox Australia) were left off so this page compares marketing models instead.
Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.
1. LeadsNow: performance marketing for managed IT providers
LeadsNow ranks first for Australian MSPs that want marketing judged on booked sales calls rather than monthly activity. It runs AI calling, SMS, DM and email follow-up on new enquiries, outbound lists and dormant past quotes, within permitted calling hours, and books the discovery call or IT audit into your calendar.
- Track record: 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017 and 1M+ leads generated; 4.7/5 from 60 Google and Facebook reviews.
- Pricing: 5–25% of the revenue LeadsNow generates for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. The rate depends on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel LeadsNow runs.
- What LeadsNow absorbs: no-shows aren’t charged, and bad ad creative, bad lists and the cost of contacting the thousands of people who never book are LeadsNow’s cost. You fund ad spend; LeadsNow funds the team, management, testing and optimisation.
- Show rate: varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on LeadsNow’s best-performing accounts.
LeadsNow does not build MSP websites or write long-form SEO content. An MSP that needs a new site or a content programme can pair it with a specialist like #2 or #3.
2. Aquinel: SEO and AI-answer visibility for MSPs
Aquinel ranks second for Australian MSPs whose buyers research providers in Google and ChatGPT before calling. Its homepage calls it an MSP marketing agency that gets MSPs and B2B SaaS companies named in AI answers and found on Google, and its FAQ says it is based in Chennai, India and works remotely with firms in the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
- Services: SEO, GEO and AEO, with a tracked question list and “Share of Answer” reporting across dated runs, per its pricing page.
- Pricing as published: Starter $2,000 a month, Growth $4,000 a month, Authority $7,000 a month; no minimum term, cancel any time.
- What it says it does not do: no paid ads, no outbound or cold outreach, and no lead generation. The page also states that Aquinel doesn’t promise leads or revenue.
Judge Aquinel on discovery calls that cite AI or Google as the source, logged in your PSA or CRM, rather than on visibility scores alone.
If we can’t make you money, we don’t deserve yours.

3. Pronto Marketing: full-service websites, SEO and Google Ads for MSPs
Pronto Marketing ranks third for MSPs that want one supplier for the website, local SEO and Google Ads. Its MSP marketing services page lists MSP website design, MSP SEO and Google Ads management.
- Pricing as published: a local SEO package for MSPs from $1,099 a month (audit, blog articles and link building) and Google Ads management from $500 a month.
- Ad budget guidance from its own page: MSPs “should budget at least $1,500 per month toward Google AdWords”.
- Australia: Pronto describes itself as American-owned and based in Thailand and the Philippines, with offices in Sioux Falls, Bangkok and Manila. The pages we checked do not say it serves Australian MSPs, and its general pricing page quotes plans in USD; confirm it can target Australian search and how it bills you before signing.
Pronto fits an MSP with a weak website and no search presence. Ask for monthly reporting on form fills and calls by source, then match them to signed agreements yourself.
The Managed-Agreement Breakeven: how many signed agreements a retainer must produce
The Managed-Agreement Breakeven is the number of signed managed services agreements an MSP needs from a marketing spend before that spend pays for itself. Work it out before you sign any retainer, then review against it at six months.
Formula: total marketing spend for the period, divided by gross profit from one signed agreement over its term. All inputs below are labelled assumptions; replace them with your own.
| Input | Assumption | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly managed services fee per client | A$2,000 | |
| Agreement term | 36 months | A$72,000 contract value |
| Gross margin on the agreement | 35% | A$25,200 gross profit per signed agreement |
| Agency retainer | A$5,000 a month | A$30,000 over six months |
| Ad spend | A$3,000 a month | A$18,000 over six months |
| Total six-month spend | A$48,000 | |
| Breakeven | A$48,000 / A$25,200 | 1.9, so about 2 signed agreements in six months |
If a full-service agency cannot show a credible path to two signed agreements in that window, the retainer is a cost, not a channel. Under a performance model the arithmetic changes: you pay when calls are booked or revenue arrives, so the breakeven is built into the fee. Our pay-per-result vs retainer comparison walks through that trade-off, and how to calculate cost per booked call covers the per-meeting maths.
Full-service MSP marketing vs a performance model
A full-service MSP marketing agency is paid for activity (content, rankings, ad management), while a performance model is paid when a sales call is booked or revenue is generated. Each suits a different stage of an MSP’s growth.
- Choose full-service when your website is weak, you have no reviews or case studies, and buyers who search for “IT support” in your city cannot find you. That foundation takes months and is worth paying for.
- Choose a performance model when you already get enquiries, quotes and audit requests but too few turn into held discovery calls, or when you have a list of past quotes that went quiet.
- Use both when search and AI visibility create the demand and a follow-up team books it; judge the pair on the same breakeven.
What an Australian MSP should ask a marketing agency
An Australian MSP should ask every marketing agency how its work will be traced to signed agreements, before price is discussed.
- How many held discovery calls or IT audits did similar MSP clients get per month, and how is “held” defined?
- Which report links each enquiry to its source and to a signed agreement in our PSA or CRM?
- Is the quoted price a management fee only, with ad spend on top? In which currency is it billed?
- How does any email or SMS you send meet the Spam Act 2003? The ACMA’s spam guidance sets out consent, sender identification and unsubscribe rules.
- What happens to our content, ad account and website if we leave?
