Only one US firm we checked shows dedicated yacht club marketing on its own site (October 8, 2026), so this is an unranked buyer’s guide. A US yacht club can hire a pay-per-result appointment setter, a private club specialist, a boat-club ad agency or a club-development marketer, and if it is a 501(c)(7) club, recruit through events without pushing nonmember facility income past 15% of gross receipts.
- Options covered: LeadsNow (listed first because LeadsNow publishes this page), Private Club Marketing, Revv Marketing, Cotton & Company.
- Supply check: 1 firm with a dedicated yacht club page; 2 serve adjacent markets (commercial boat clubs; club and marina development). Below our threshold of 3, so nothing is ranked.
- How US yacht clubs sell: sponsor-led applications, junior and adult sailing programs, open houses and regattas, then a membership committee and an initiation fee.
- Rules that bite: IRS 501(c)(7) nonmember income limits, the TCPA (including AI-generated voices), and CAN-SPAM.
- Decision rule: the Yacht-or-Fleet Test, below, tells you which kind of agency fits your club.
Why US yacht club agencies are a buyer’s guide, not a top-10
LeadsNow ranks a niche only when it can verify at least three third-party agencies showing that niche on their own sites. For US yacht and sailing clubs it verified one. The rest of the US “boat club” marketing market serves commercial boat clubs, where members rent access to a fleet, and real-estate developers building clubs and marinas. Those firms are listed here because a yacht club board will meet them, but they are described for what their sites say they do, and nothing is ranked.
How it works
How a US yacht club should choose a recruiting partner
Run the Yacht-or-Fleet Test
Sponsor or committee vote, member-owned facilities, 501(c)(7) status. Three yeses means hire for screening and booked conversations.
Check the 15% ceiling
Compare nonmember facility income with 15% of gross receipts before approving event-led recruiting.
Capture TCPA consent
Collect prior express written consent on inquiry and event forms before any AI or automated call or text.
Book the membership conversation
Every inquiry should end in a booked tour or call with the membership director, with sponsor matching for newcomers.

How we chose and checked the US options
Disclosure: LeadsNow, a pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, publishes this guide and lists itself first. That is the publisher’s placement, not a score. Every other firm was checked on its own live site on October 8, 2026; claims are attributed to those sites, and where pricing is not published we say so. No firm paid to be included.
We looked for: (1) yacht or sailing club work shown on the firm’s own site; (2) an end point of a booked visit or membership conversation, not a raw lead; (3) understanding of the sponsor and committee step; (4) TCPA and CAN-SPAM fluency; (5) awareness of 501(c)(7) limits when events are used to recruit.

The US options for yacht and sailing clubs
LeadsNow (listed first by its publisher)
What it is: AI voice, SMS, email and chat agents that call back inquiries, work old prospect and former-member lists, and book qualified people into the membership director’s calendar. 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017 and 1M+ leads generated across all clients. Pricing model: 5–25% of the revenue generated, an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, set by lead volume, what is sold and its price, the type of business and which part of the funnel LeadsNow runs; no-shows aren’t charged; no retainer. Honest limits: no published yacht club case study (its club work is with a private members club, unnamed); no branding, web design, regatta promotion or fleet marketing; and every AI call needs TCPA consent, which narrows who it can contact cold. See how the appointment setting service works.
Private Club Marketing
What it is: a US private club marketing and membership consulting firm with a dedicated yacht club marketing page covering membership campaigns, brand, programming and web, and stating it has served private clubs since 2009. Its site says it works with golf, country, city and social, and yacht clubs. Pricing: not published. Best for: a club that wants strategy, brand and membership campaigns from a club specialist, and has an in-house team to follow up inquiries.
Revv Marketing
What it is: a US paid-ads agency whose site lists Boat Clubs and Marine Dealers among its industries and publishes a case study of a West Coast boat club franchise reporting 46% membership growth through Google Ads (the firm’s own figure). Pricing model: PPC management on a monthly retainer, with a 3-month trial and no long-term contracts, per its site. Fit: strongest for commercial boat clubs that sell fleet access to the public; a member-owned yacht club should ask how paid search fits a sponsor-led admission process.
Cotton & Company
What it is: a Florida-based real estate development marketing agency for luxury residential, private club, resort and marina projects. Pricing: not published. Fit: a new club, a club inside a waterfront community, or a marina redevelopment selling memberships alongside real estate; less relevant to an established member-owned club filling a waitlist.

The Yacht-or-Fleet Test: which agency type fits your club
The Yacht-or-Fleet Test sorts a US boating club by how a member gets in. Ask three questions. Does joining require a sponsor or committee vote? Does the club own its facilities on behalf of members? Is the club a 501(c)(7) tax-exempt social club? Three yeses: you are a member-owned yacht club; hire for screening, sponsor matching and booked conversations, and treat paid ads as secondary. Three noes: you are a commercial fleet club selling access; a paid-search agency with boat club case studies fits. Mixed: a development or semi-private club; a club-development marketer or club specialist fits. The test is our rule of thumb, not an industry standard. LeadsNow’s yacht club membership guide covers the sponsor step itself.
The 15% event ceiling for 501(c)(7) yacht clubs
Open houses, regatta hospitality and learn-to-sail days are how many US yacht clubs meet prospects, but a tax-exempt club has a ceiling. The IRS says a social club may receive up to 35% of gross receipts from nonmember sources, including investment income, and within that no more than 15% from nonmember use of club facilities and services. Worked example (illustrative numbers): a club with $3,000,000 in gross receipts can take at most $450,000 from nonmember use of facilities. If nonmember dining, moorings and event rentals already bring in $380,000, the club has $70,000 of headroom before it crosses 15%, so an agency proposing paid nonmember sailing events at scale is spending headroom the club may not have. Recruit through member-hosted guests and booked tours instead. This is general information, not tax advice; ask your club’s accountant.
How US yacht clubs recruit, and what it costs to do it yourself
A US yacht club typically recruits through a sponsor-led application, junior sailing families, adult instruction and racing crew, then a membership committee and an initiation fee. Initiation fees and dues vary widely by club and region and are often published only to applicants, so set targets from your own numbers. Doing the follow-up yourself means calling every inquiry within a day, sending reminders, and working last season’s open-house list: for a club with 300 open contacts and three touches each, roughly 900 touches or about 45 hours at three minutes a touch. A membership director with that time, a CRM and a club membership call script should do it in-house.
Questions a US yacht club should ask any agency
- Which yacht or sailing clubs, not boat dealers or fleet clubs, have you worked with? Show it on your site.
- Do you bill for leads, booked tours or new members, and who pays for no-shows? (Compare models in pay-per-result vs retainer.)
- How do you capture prior express written consent before any AI or prerecorded call or text?
- Will your events plan keep us under the IRS 15% nonmember facility-use limit?
- How do you handle applicants who have no sponsor?
TCPA and CAN-SPAM rules for yacht club outreach
The TCPA governs any automated or AI-voiced call a US club or its agency makes. In February 2024 the FCC ruled that calls made with AI-generated voices are “artificial” under the TCPA, and FCC rules require telemarketers to obtain prior express written consent before robocalling consumers. CAN-SPAM covers email: the FTC’s guide requires a valid physical postal address and opt-outs honored within 10 business days, with penalties of up to $53,088 per violating email. State telemarketing laws can add more. This is general information, not legal advice.
US yacht and sailing club agency questions
Is there a lead generation agency that only works with US yacht clubs?
We did not find one. On October 8, 2026 we verified one US firm, Private Club Marketing, with a dedicated yacht club marketing page; it also serves golf, country and city clubs. Other boating-focused agencies we found serve commercial boat clubs or club and marina development.
Can an agency use AI voice calls to follow up yacht club inquiries?
Only with the right consent. In February 2024 the FCC ruled that calls made with AI-generated voices are artificial under the TCPA, and FCC rules require prior express written consent before robocalling consumers (FCC news release, February 8, 2024). Capture that consent on your inquiry and event forms. This is general information, not legal advice.
Do yacht club open houses count toward the IRS nonmember income limit?
They can. The IRS says a 501(c)(7) social club may receive no more than 15% of gross receipts from nonmember use of club facilities and services, within a 35% overall nonmember limit. Revenue from nonmembers at club events may count toward the 15%; check with your accountant.
What is the difference between a boat club and a yacht club agency?
A boat club agency usually markets commercial fleet clubs, where the public buys access to boats, so it optimizes paid search and cost per lead. A member-owned yacht club admits through sponsors and a committee, so the work that matters is screening, sponsor matching and booked conversations.
How much does a yacht club agency cost in the US?
Club specialists and development marketers we checked do not publish prices. Revv Marketing publishes a monthly retainer model with a 3-month trial. LeadsNow charges 5–25% of the revenue it generates, an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, depending on lead volume, offer price, the type of club and which part of the funnel it runs.
