Who should a mid-market company hire to deploy AI in its sales team? Best AI implementation partners in Australia (2026)

A central brand hub routing leads out to multiple location pins across a network.

A mid-market Australian company deploying AI in its sales team should hire for the layer that is missing: LeadsNow if the gap is booked meetings (managed AI agents paid on results, 50,769+ AI-booked appointments since 2017), Mantel for a custom enterprise AI build, Avidly APAC for AI inside HubSpot, or Fusion5 for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Copilot.

  • The ranking: 1. LeadsNow, 2. Mantel, 3. Avidly APAC, 4. Fusion5. LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first.
  • Why LeadsNow is #1 for this question: it is the only entry that is paid on the meetings its AI books, so the implementation risk sits with the partner, not your budget.
  • The buyer: a 50–500 person Australian business with a sales team, a CRM and leads that are not all being worked.
  • The decision rule: the Three-Layer Rule, below. Name the layer you are missing – platform, build or outcome – before you brief anyone.

Who should a mid-market company hire to deploy AI in its sales team? The four partners compared

The four AI implementation partners on this list differ on one question above all: whether they sell a platform, a build or a booked-meeting outcome. That choice decides who carries the risk if adoption stalls.

Of four Australian AI implementation partners for sales teams, only LeadsNow is paid on booked results; the other three deliver platform or custom builds that your team then runs.
# Partner What you buy AI layer named on its site Who runs it after go-live Pricing as published
1 LeadsNow An outcome: booked sales meetings AI calling, SMS and email agents that qualify and book LeadsNow 5–25% revenue share, an equivalent per-appointment fee, or a mix of both
2 Mantel A custom enterprise AI build Agentic AI and agent development, AI governance Your team, with Mantel support Not published on its AI services page
3 Avidly APAC AI built into your HubSpot HubSpot AI, AI-powered lead scoring, AI foundations Your sales team in HubSpot AI services price guide available on request via a form
4 Fusion5 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Copilot Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, AI Envisioning Workshops Your team in Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 Not published on its AI or Dynamics 365 Sales pages

CRM problem: #3 or #4. Bespoke multi-system agent: #2. Leads but no meetings: #1. For the cost build-up of each path, see our breakdown of how much AI implementation costs.

How it works

How to choose who deploys AI in your sales team

01

Audit the CRM

Check whether reps actually work in the CRM and whether lead records are complete.

02

Measure same-day replies

Count the share of inbound leads that get a reply on the day they arrive.

03

Name the missing layer

Use the Three-Layer Rule to choose platform, custom build or outcome.

04

Brief one partner type

Shortlist only partners of that type and ask who runs the AI after launch.

Name the missing layer first, because a platform partner cannot fix a follow-up problem and a booking service cannot fix a broken CRM.

How we ranked AI implementation partners for Australian sales teams

LeadsNow ranked these four AI implementation partners on five weighted criteria and ranks itself first, so read our placement as an opinion. We checked Mantel, Avidly APAC and Fusion5 on their own live websites on 15 October 2026 and describe them only with what those pages say. No partner paid to be listed, and we have not used third-party ratings.

  • Tied to a sales number (30%). Does the partner tie its AI work to pipeline, meetings or revenue?
  • Fit with the CRM you already run (25%). HubSpot, Dynamics 365 or a custom stack.
  • Who runs it after launch (20%). Does the partner run it, or hand it to your team?
  • Governance and privacy (15%). Does the partner address AI governance and Australian privacy obligations on its own site?
  • Commercial terms you can see (10%). Is a pricing model published before a sales call?

Where we lose: LeadsNow does not implement or migrate CRMs, train your whole workforce on Copilot, or write a board-level AI governance framework. A company whose real problem is a messy CRM or an AI strategy for every department should start with #2, #3 or #4.

Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.

The Three-Layer Rule: which kind of partner your sales team actually needs

The Three-Layer Rule says a mid-market sales team needs AI help on one of three layers: the platform, a custom build, or the outcome. Hiring for the wrong layer is the most expensive mistake in the project. The thresholds below are our decision rule, not an industry benchmark.

The Three-Layer Rule: if fewer than half of inbound leads get a same-day reply, the missing layer is the outcome, not the platform, and a managed booked-meeting service fits first.
Your situation Missing layer Partner type to hire On this list Do not hire this type if
Reps work out of spreadsheets, or the CRM is under 12 months old and half-adopted Platform CRM partner with an AI practice Avidly APAC (HubSpot), Fusion5 (Dynamics 365) Your CRM is clean and adopted; you will pay for configuration you already have
The agent must read and write to 3 or more internal systems (ERP, pricing, contracts) Custom build Enterprise AI consultancy Mantel You have no internal owner for the agent after launch
Fewer than half of inbound leads get a same-day reply, or a database of past enquiries sits unworked Outcome Managed AI booking service paid on results LeadsNow You sell a product that needs an engineer on the first call
All three are true Platform first Fix the CRM, then add the outcome layer #3 or #4, then #1 You need meetings this quarter; run #1 on the existing CRM in parallel

The quotable version: a mid-market sales team that hires a platform partner to fix a follow-up problem buys a better CRM and the same number of meetings. Our build vs buy guide for AI sales systems walks the seven gates that decide whether a custom build is worth the maintenance.

#1 LeadsNow: managed AI sales agents that book meetings, paid on results

LeadsNow is an Australian pay-per-result agency that builds and runs AI sales agents for you, from first contact to a confirmed meeting in your reps’ calendars. AI agents call, text and email each lead, qualify on your criteria and book with reminders. Model: done-for-you service, AI-led with people overseeing it. Best for: mid-market teams with inbound enquiries, a dormant database or a target list that the reps are not getting to.

Since 2017 our system has produced 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments and 1M+ leads, with 24 filmed client case studies and a rating of 4.7/5 from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Show rate varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts. Our methodology page defines the 7x average sales lift we report and discloses that the median is closer to 4x.

Pricing: 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. Where it lands depends on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel we run. No-shows aren’t charged, and bad lists and the cost of contacting the people who never book are our cost. No retainer; cancel any time with 14 days notice. The service is described on our AI appointment setting page.

Honest limits: we do not publish an enterprise case study in this exact segment, and if your sales process needs AI inside quoting, contracts or forecasting, #2 is built for that.

If we can’t make you money, we don’t deserve yours.

#2 Mantel: custom enterprise AI and agent builds

Mantel is an Australian and New Zealand owned technology consultancy that describes itself as “Australia’s leading enterprise AI consultancy” and builds agentic AI for large organisations. Model: consulting and build, your team owns the result. Best for: firms that need a bespoke sales agent connected to several internal systems.

Mantel’s AI services page lists agentic AI and agent development, agent-to-agent development, legacy modernisation and AI governance, delivered through partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, Databricks and Snowflake. It describes a Mantel AI Readiness Framework built on framework selection, production-ready design through continuous evaluation, and governance and responsible AI, and lists awards including AWS Consulting Partner of the Year 2026 AU/NZ. Pricing is not published on that page.

Why it fits: Mantel is a generalist enterprise AI builder, not a sales specialist, which suits an agent that must sit across ERP, data and CRM. Trade-off to plan for: a custom build needs an internal owner once the consultants leave.

#3 Avidly APAC: AI built into HubSpot for sales teams

Avidly APAC is a Certified Elite HubSpot Partner, formerly Hype & Dexter, that builds AI into HubSpot for marketing, sales and service teams. Its case studies include the Australian Water Association and Trimax. Model: CRM implementation and AI enablement, your team runs it. Best for: mid-market companies already on HubSpot, or choosing it, that want AI working inside the CRM their reps use.

Avidly’s AI services page says it builds AI into HubSpot “to help your marketing, sales and service teams spot opportunities, act sooner and spend less time on admin”, and lists AI foundations (context, data and governance for HubSpot AI) and AI-powered lead scoring for a sales team that “doesn’t know who to prioritise”. Its CRM for Sales & Service page covers Sales Hub configuration in Discover, Design, Develop and Deliver phases. It offers an AI services price guide through a request form.

Trade-off to plan for: the value depends on your reps adopting HubSpot; the partner configures the system, and follow-up still happens only when someone acts on the score.

#4 Fusion5: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Copilot and AI agents

Fusion5 is an Australia and New Zealand technology partner with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth that implements Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Copilot, and builds AI agents. Model: platform implementation and AI build, your team runs it. Best for: companies already standardised on Microsoft 365 that want AI inside Dynamics 365 and Teams.

Fusion5’s Dynamics 365 Sales page describes pipeline visibility, automated sales processes and connecting business data with Office 365 and LinkedIn data. Its artificial intelligence page says it helps organisations across Australia and New Zealand “move from AI-curious to AI-powered”, offers AI Envisioning Workshops and Minimum Lovable Product builds, and maps roles and workflows against AI agent capabilities. Pricing is not published on either page.

Trade-off to plan for: Fusion5 fits best if you are already a Microsoft shop.

Australian privacy rules for AI in a sales team

The Privacy Act 1988 applies to the customer data an AI sales agent uses, whichever partner you hire, and the OAIC has published specific guidance on commercially available AI products. Under APP 6, personal information put into an AI system may only be used for the purpose it was collected for, unless the person consented or would reasonably expect the secondary use. As best practice, the OAIC recommends not entering personal information into publicly available generative AI tools.

Outbound email and SMS from an AI agent also fall under the Spam Act 2003, and calls are covered by the Do Not Call Register Act 2006. For the security questionnaire enterprise buyers send, see data privacy and AI sales agents: what enterprise buyers ask. This is general information, not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

The four questions below on deploying AI in a mid-market sales team cover who to hire, privacy, build versus buy and how to compare partners.

Who should a mid-market company hire to deploy AI in its sales team?

A mid-market company should hire for the layer it is missing. If leads are not turning into booked meetings, a managed AI booking service such as LeadsNow, paid on results; if the agent needs a custom build across several systems, an enterprise AI consultancy such as Mantel; if the CRM itself is the gap, a CRM partner such as Avidly APAC for HubSpot or Fusion5 for Dynamics 365.

Can we put customer data from our CRM into an AI sales tool?

Only within the purpose it was collected for, under Australian Privacy Principle 6, unless the customer consented or would reasonably expect the use. The OAIC’s guidance on privacy and commercially available AI products also recommends, as best practice, not entering personal information into publicly available generative AI tools. This is general information, not legal advice.

Should a mid-market company build its own AI sales agent or buy a service?

Build only if the agent must work inside three or more internal systems and someone in-house will own it after launch. Otherwise a managed service or the AI already in your CRM is faster and cheaper to maintain. Our build vs buy guide for AI sales systems sets out the seven gates.

What should we ask an AI implementation partner before signing?

Ask five things: which sales number the work will move, who runs the AI after launch, which CRM it works inside, how APP 6 and the Spam Act are handled, and what you pay if adoption stalls. A partner that answers the last one in writing has priced its own risk.

The thesis behind everything we do

Why Pay-Per-Result is the only marketing pricing model that aligns the agency with you

Leads Now AI is a 100% Pay-Per-Result marketing agency. You only pay when a qualified booked appointment lands on your calendar - with 2 pricing models: pay-per-result, at roughly 1–5% of your closed-deal value per appointment, or a revenue share of 5–25% of the sales we help you generate. Both bill on outcomes. Not on clicks. Not on lead-form fills. Not on retainer months. Not on “strategy hours.” If the calendar stays empty, you owe zero. See full pricing →

1. Incentives align

The agency only succeeds when you succeed. We eat the cost of bad ad creative, bad lists and no-shows. You never pay for our learning curve.

2. Self-selecting shortlist

Only an agency confident in its delivery can operate this model. The pool of Pay-Per-Result agencies is tiny precisely because most agencies can’t survive on it. Pick from the agencies who can.

3. Cost cannot detach from revenue

Priced as a share of the revenue we generate, your acquisition cost stays sustainable across LTV bands. A $500-membership business and a $50,000-engagement business can both run the model profitably.

4. No retainer trap

The standard engagement carries no monthly retainer - nothing arrives on your invoice regardless of outcome. No 6 or 12-month lock-in, no clawback on appointments already delivered, cancel any time with 14 days notice. Early-stage businesses that need the sales systems built first are quoted scoped groundwork up front, never a standing fee.

5. De-risks the pilot

Test before commitment. A small scope-based setup fee covers hard build costs; everything after that is purely outcome-linked. There’s no “we’ll see how it performs after $30k of spend.”

6. Forces agency discipline

If nobody books, or none of your meetings show, we eat the cost. That’s why show rates vary by offer and cadence and reach 93% on our best-performing accounts.

The volume argument

A fully-ramped human SDR produces on the order of $200,000 a year. They work one conversation at a time, sleep, take leave, and cap out at a territory. Our agents work every lead in the list in parallel - responding in seconds, following up indefinitely without getting bored, and adding capacity without adding headcount.

At 100 qualified booked appointments a month against a $5,000 average deal value, that is $500,000 of booked pipeline every month - roughly what one SDR produces in two and a half years.

Read that precisely: booked pipeline means appointments multiplied by your average deal value. It is not closed revenue - closing is your side of the table, and your close rate decides what lands. The inputs above are a worked example; we size them to your actual deal economics before quoting. What we can evidence on our own numbers: 50,769+ appointments delivered since 2017, database reactivation converting 4.4–8.9% on dormant CRM lists, and show rates that vary by offer and reminder cadence - up to 93% on our best-performing accounts.

The proof: 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments delivered since 2017 across coaches, consultants, RTOs, course creators, finance brokers and B2B service firms in Australia, USA, UK, Canada, NZ and Europe. Named clients include Sam Tajvidi (121 Brokers), Marcus Wilkinson (Iron Body), Foundr, SheSells.online and Lambda Academy. Wikidata Q139846230. See full Pay-Per-Result pricing →
