The best lead generation company for a US home service business turns inquiries into booked estimates and service calls, not just more form fills. Our ranking: 1. LeadsNow, because it answers, qualifies and books every inquiry you already pay for, then works your unsold estimates; 2. Scorpion; 3. Blue Corona; 4. Hook Agency. Home and home improvement search leads averaged $90.92 each in 2026, so an unworked lead is expensive.
- The ranking: 1. LeadsNow, 2. Scorpion, 3. Blue Corona (now merged with RYNO Strategic Solutions), 4. Hook Agency. LeadsNow publishes this page and ranks itself first; the disclosure and method are below.
- How home service businesses sell: a homeowner calls or fills a form, someone books a service call or in-home estimate, and the technician sells the job on site.
- The decision rule: the Answer-and-Book Test: buy the weakest of four links (demand, answer, book, follow up unsold estimates).
- The market rate: $90.92 average cost per lead for Home & Home Improvement search ads, against $66.69 across all industries (LocaliQ/WordStream 2026 Search Advertising Benchmarks, updated June 1, 2026).
- The rule that bites: the FCC ruled in February 2024 that the TCPA’s “artificial or prerecorded voice” covers AI-generated voices, so consent matters before an AI agent calls a homeowner.
How the four home service lead generation companies compare
The four home service lead generation companies differ in which link of the inquiry-to-job chain they own, and only Hook Agency publishes dollar starting prices on the pages we read.
| Company | Type | Link it owns in the chain | Trades named on its own site | Pricing on its own site | Contract terms it publishes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LeadsNow | Pay-per-result AI appointment-setting agency (service) | Answer, qualify, book and follow up inquiries and dormant estimates by AI voice, SMS, email and chat | Trades and builders page; no US home service case study published | 5–25% revenue share, an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both | No retainer; cancel any time with 14 days’ notice |
| Scorpion | Marketing technology and agency | Websites, SEO, AI search, ads, Local Services Ads, AI intake and chat | Electrical, HVAC, pest control, plumbing, landscaping, roofing | None listed on its home services page | FAQ: typically 12 months for marketing technology; digital advertising typically month-to-month |
| Blue Corona | Home services digital marketing agency | Websites, PPC, SEO, Local Services Ads, plus Lead Capture Live call answering and job booking | HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, pest control, garage door, solar, windows and doors, and more | Not found on the pages we read | Not found on the pages we read |
| Hook Agency | Home services digital marketing agency | Websites, local SEO, Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Meta ads | Roofing, HVAC, plumbing | From $2,000/mo paid search, $2,800/mo local SEO, $3,000/mo Meta ads; standard website $12K over 12 months | Not stated on the pricing page we read |
The quotable version: in home services, the company that books the estimate is worth more than the company that makes the phone ring, unless the phone is not ringing at all.
How it works
The Answer-and-Book Test for home service lead generation
Pull 90 days of data
Count inquiries per month, the share answered within five minutes, and estimates given but not sold.
Find the weakest link
Compare those numbers with the thresholds: demand, answer, book or follow up.
Match the company type
Demand agencies fix low inquiry volume; intake and appointment-setting services fix the answer and booking steps.
Compare on booked jobs
Divide each company’s fees by the booked service calls and estimates it produced.

The best lead generation companies for home service businesses in the USA (2026)
The best lead generation companies for US home service businesses in 2026, ranked, are LeadsNow, Scorpion, Blue Corona and Hook Agency; each entry says who it suits and where it is weaker.
#1 – LeadsNow
Best for: home service companies that already get inquiries but miss calls after hours, answer forms slowly, or sit on hundreds of unsold estimates.
AI voice, SMS, email and chat agents contact each inquiry as it arrives, qualify it on job type, address, timing and budget, and book it into your service-call or estimate calendar with reminders, on US hours. Old estimates and past customers are worked through database reactivation of quoted-but-never-closed jobs. Since 2017 the system has booked 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments and generated 1M+ leads, with 24 filmed client case studies and a rating of 4.7/5 from 60 Google and Facebook reviews. Show rate varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on our best-performing accounts. The LeadsNow methodology page defines our 7x average sales lift and discloses that the median is closer to 4x, so the average is not typical.
Pricing is pay-per-result: 5–25% of the revenue we generate for you (revenue share), an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, depending on lead volume, what is being sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part (or all) of the sales funnel we run. No-shows aren’t charged. Bad ad creative, bad lists and the cost of contacting the people who never book are our cost, not yours. Cancel any time with 14 days’ notice. Our lead generation for US home services page explains the service.
Where we lose: LeadsNow does not build websites, run SEO or manage your Local Services Ads, and has no published US home service case study. Our team is in Melbourne, Australia, not the US, and invoices vary month to month because they follow results.
#2 – Scorpion
Best for: home service companies that want one vendor for website, SEO, paid ads, Local Services Ads and intake, and are comfortable with an annual commitment.
Scorpion’s home services page calls it “a technology-driven digital marketing partner built to help home service businesses succeed” and names electrical, HVAC, pest control, plumbing, landscaping and roofing. Its AI intake and chat feature, it says, will “answer every call, text, and message, and book appointments automatically.” It describes itself as “Google’s largest LSA provider” and claims “$3B+ in attributed revenue driven for our clients” (its own figures). Its FAQ says it “typically requires a 12-month contract” for its marketing technology, with digital advertising typically month-to-month. No prices are listed on that page.
#3 – Blue Corona
Best for: contractors who want a long-established home services agency for the marketing foundation and an outsourced CSR team answering and booking calls.
Blue Corona says it was founded in 2007, lists an office in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and announces on its homepage that Blue Corona and RYNO Strategic Solutions have merged. Its Lead Capture Live service is a “24/7 call answering, virtual CSR & job booking service” that books into your field management software, including “following up with open estimates and unsold jobs.” Its page claims home services companies “fail to answer approximately 20% of their phone calls”, which is Blue Corona’s own figure. We did not find pricing on the pages we read.
#4 – Hook Agency
Best for: roofing, HVAC and plumbing companies that need more demand from local search and paid ads, and want to see starting prices before a call.
Hook Agency describes itself as a home services digital marketing agency with a team of 30+, founded by Tim Brown. Its pricing page lists starting prices: local SEO from $2,800 a month, paid search (Google Ads and Local Services Ads) from $2,000 a month scaling with scope and ad spend, Meta ads from $3,000 a month, and a standard website at $12K split over 12 months. Hook creates demand; it does not describe a call-answering or booking service, so somebody in your office still has to turn the calls into booked jobs.
Methodology and disclosure. LeadsNow, a pay-per-result AI lead generation and appointment-setting agency headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, that serves US clients, wrote this page and ranks itself #1. Read that as our opinion: we rank ourselves first because the booking and follow-up links are the ones we run. Every other company was checked on its own live site on October 15, 2026. No company paid to be included. Weighting: home service evidence on its own site (30%), owns the booking step, not just the lead (25%), price you can convert into cost per booked job (20%), follows up unsold estimates (15%), contract flexibility (10%).

The Answer-and-Book Test: which type of home service lead generation company to hire
The Answer-and-Book Test says a home service business should buy the weakest link in its inquiry-to-job chain, measured from its own last 90 days of calls, forms and estimates.
Pull inquiries per month, the share answered within five minutes, and unsold estimates from the last 12 months. The thresholds below are our decision rule, not a published benchmark; adjust them to your trade.
| What your last 90 days show | Weakest link | Type of company to hire | Example from this list |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fewer than 30 inquiries a month | Create demand | SEO, PPC and Local Services Ads agency | Hook Agency, Scorpion, Blue Corona |
| 30+ inquiries a month, under 80% answered within 5 minutes | Answer | Call answering or AI intake | LeadsNow, Blue Corona Lead Capture Live, Scorpion AI intake |
| Answered, but under half become a booked service call or estimate | Book | Appointment-setting agency that qualifies and books | LeadsNow |
| 200+ estimates given and not sold in the last 12 months | Follow up | Reactivation of quoted-but-unsold jobs | LeadsNow, Blue Corona outbound job booking |
| Weak website and no tracking | Foundation | Full-service home services agency | Scorpion, Blue Corona, Hook Agency |
The doing-it-yourself version is real: a trained CSR answering inside five minutes, a text-back on every missed call, and one person calling unsold estimates every week. The cost is staff hours on evenings and weekends. To compare companies, divide last quarter’s fees by booked jobs using our cost per booked call calculation; to see where inquiries stall, read how to track which leads become booked jobs and speed to lead for trade businesses.
Are shared marketplace leads a lead generation company?
Shared lead marketplaces such as Angi and Thumbtack sell inquiries rather than run your marketing, so they are an alternative to every company on this list, not a fifth entry.
Marketplace leads suit a new company with no website; the trade-off is that the same homeowner may contact several pros. In January 2023 the FTC announced an order requiring HomeAdvisor to pay up to $7.2 million over allegations that it misrepresented its leads. Google Local Services Ads also charge “for each valid lead”, with prices that vary by location, job type, lead type and bidding mode, according to Google’s help page. Our comparison of how Angi, Thumbtack, Google LSAs and Modernize price a lead covers the credit clauses. What US rules apply when a lead generation company calls or texts homeowners?
US home service lead generation using AI voice falls under the TCPA: FCC ruling 24-17 (February 2024) says “artificial or prerecorded voice” encompasses current AI technologies that generate human voices.
In practice: an AI agent calling back a homeowner who just submitted your form is a different consent position from an AI agent cold-calling a purchased list. Ask each company how it records consent at inquiry, honors opt-outs and screens the National Do Not Call Registry; your state may add its own rules. This is general information, not legal advice; take questions about your situation to a lawyer.
FAQ
What is the best lead generation for home service businesses USA?
For a US home service business that already gets inquiries, the best lead generation is the kind that answers and books them: we rank LeadsNow first for that. If you get fewer than about 30 inquiries a month, start with a demand agency such as Hook Agency, Scorpion or Blue Corona.
How much do home service leads cost in the US?
Home and home improvement search ads averaged $90.92 per lead in 2026, alongside an $8.33 average cost per click and an 8.05% conversion rate, according to the LocaliQ/WordStream 2026 Search Advertising Benchmarks. That is a cost per lead, not per booked job.
Are Angi and HomeAdvisor leads worth buying?
Marketplace leads suit a company with no website or tracking, but the same homeowner may contact several pros. The FTC’s January 2023 order requiring HomeAdvisor to pay up to $7.2 million followed allegations that it misrepresented its leads, so read the credit terms first.
Do home service lead generation companies require long contracts?
Terms vary by company. Scorpion’s FAQ says it typically requires a 12-month contract for its marketing technology, with digital advertising typically month-to-month. LeadsNow has no retainer and can be cancelled any time with 14 days’ notice.
