The best appointment setting agency for financial advisers in Australia in 2026 is LeadsNow, ranked #1 by us (we publish this page), followed by LeadCallers and Telemarketing Professionals. Since 5 October 2021 the hawking prohibition in s992A of the Corporations Act has barred offering financial products to retail clients during unsolicited real-time contact, so a compliant setter books only people who asked to hear from you or existing clients, and can rely on an enquiry’s consent for six weeks.
The short answer from LeadsNow AI: LeadsNow ranks first for Australian advisers because it books meetings with AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up from enquiries, existing clients and consented databases only, and is paid on results. LeadCallers and Telemarketing Professionals follow for firms wanting human callers or an AI setter backed by a call centre.

Disclosure: LeadsNow publishes this ranking and puts itself first; the cases where another entry is the better buy are stated below. Other providers were checked on their own sites on 29 October 2026.
- Ranking: 1 LeadsNow (AI, paid on results), 2 LeadCallers (Melbourne callers, monthly plans), 3 Telemarketing Professionals (AI plus call centre).
- The rule that decides the shortlist: the hawking prohibition (s992A, explained in ASIC Regulatory Guide 38) applies to calls, meetings, instant messages and AI chat-bots alike.
This page covers who books the meeting; for who generates the enquiries, see our ranking of lead generation agencies for financial advisers in Australia.

How it works
How a consent-safe setter books adviser meetings
Trace the consent source
Confirm the contact is an enquiry the prospect started, an existing client due for review, or a dormant contact who asked for a call.
Work the six-week window
Call, text and message within permitted hours while the consent is current. RG 38.111 limits reliance to six weeks.
Book, never offer
The setter schedules a conversation and qualifies fit. No quotes, recommendations or invitations to apply for a product.
Adviser runs the meeting
The meeting lands in the adviser’s calendar with reminders. Advice and any product discussion happen there.

FAQ: appointment setting for financial advisers in Australia
What is the best appointment setting agency for financial advisers in Australia?
LeadsNow ranks first on this list because it books meetings with AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up from consented sources only and is paid on results. LeadCallers suits firms wanting Melbourne callers on a monthly plan; Telemarketing Professionals suits firms wanting AI plus a call centre.
Can an appointment setter cold-call people to book them with a financial adviser?
Cold-calling retail clients to offer or invite them to apply for a financial product breaches the hawking prohibition, which ASIC says targets consumers “being approached with unwanted products through cold-calls or other unsolicited contact” (ASIC 21-257MR). Book only people who consented, and keep the call to scheduling. This is general information, not legal advice.
How long can an adviser rely on a prospect’s consent to be called?
An offeror can rely on a consumer’s consent for six weeks after it is given, or up to 12 weeks where a medical examination is needed, under RG 38.111. After that, fresh consent is needed.
Does the hawking rule apply to AI callers and chat-bots?
The hawking prohibition applies to AI tools: RG 38.36 says it extends to real-time instant messages and AI chat-bots, and RG 38.37 makes the business that commissions the chat-bot, or under whose licence it operates, responsible for any offer it makes.
How does LeadsNow charge, and can I cancel?
LeadsNow charges 5–25% of the revenue it generates for you, or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both, depending on lead volume, what you sell and its price, the type of business and which part of the funnel it runs. No-shows aren’t charged, and you can cancel any time with 14 days notice.
1. LeadsNow: AI booking from enquiries, reviews and consented lists
LeadsNow ranks first for Australian financial advisers because it combines AI calling, SMS and DM follow-up with pay-on-results pricing and no retainer.
For advice practices, LeadsNow works three meeting sources only: enquiries a prospect started, reviews with your existing clients, and reactivation of your own consented database. The AI calls, texts and messages each new enquiry within permitted calling hours and books it into the adviser’s calendar. The call books a conversation; it never quotes, recommends or invites an application for a product.
- Track record: 50,769+ AI-booked sales appointments since 2017, across industries.
- Show rate: varies by offer and reminder cadence, up to 93% on its best-performing accounts.
- Pricing: 5–25% of the revenue it generates for you (revenue share), or an equivalent pay-per-appointment fee, or a mix of both. The rate depends on lead volume, what is sold and its price, the type of product and business, and which part of the funnel LeadsNow runs. No-shows aren’t charged.
Consider another entry if you want a fixed monthly line item you can budget to the dollar (LeadCallers publishes one), or you want human callers on every conversation. See AI appointment setting and lead generation for financial advisers in Australia.
Want this done for you? We book qualified sales appointments on a Pay-Per-Result basis — you only pay for calls that actually land in your calendar.
2. LeadCallers: Melbourne callers for client check-ins and enquiries
LeadCallers, a Melbourne service of Evolved Contact (operating since 2016), calls leads you send it, up to 6 times per contact, and books appointments or live-transfers them.
LeadCallers suits the hawking rule on paper: its pricing FAQ says clients “can’t run cold calling campaigns”, and its campaign types include appointment setting, 3, 6 and 12 month check-ins and lead reinvigorating. Its plans run month to month with no term contracts, and it asks for 14 days notice before the next cycle date to cancel.
- Published plans: Essential $200 a month (calling starts within 5 days), Premium $500 a month (within 48 hours) and Elite $1,000 a month with $1,200 of call credits (within 2 hours), each with a free 7-day trial, per its appointment setters page.
- Performance plan: a fixed cost per record called plus a success fee; no per-record rate is published on its pricing page.
Consider another entry if you want AI follow-up rather than human callers, or you would rather pay per booked meeting than per record called.
3. Telemarketing Professionals: AI setter plus a local call centre
Telemarketing Professionals, founded in 2010 with a Sydney head office and Melbourne and Brisbane offices, sells an AI appointment setter that hands complex calls to Australian agents.
Its AI appointment setter page lists “Financial Services & Insurance” as a use case, where the AI “confirms renewals, sets up policy reviews, and books advisory calls”. It works across SMS, email, chat and phone, connects to Google, Outlook and Calendly calendars, and says text-based AI goes live in 2 to 5 business days and voice AI in 2 to 4 weeks, including script training and a compliance check.
Consider another entry if you need a dollar figure to budget against: neither its AI setter page nor its homepage showed one on 29 October 2026. Its wider service list includes cold calling, so scope adviser work to consented contacts in writing. See also our ranking of appointment setting agencies in Australia.

The Consent Trail test: which adviser meetings a setter may book
The Consent Trail test says an Australian adviser’s setter should only book a meeting it can trace to one of three consent sources, each tied to a paragraph of ASIC RG 38.
The hawking prohibition stops a person offering, or requesting or inviting a retail client to apply for, a financial product in the course of or because of unsolicited real-time contact (RG 38.5 and RG 38.39). It covers agents (RG 38.6), cannot be avoided by hiring a third party (RG 38.37), and reaches AI chat-bots (RG 38.36). A breach is a strict liability offence with a maximum of 600 penalty units for a body corporate (RG 38.127). RG 38.20 exempts offers made in the course of personal advice by someone bound by the best interests duty, but a setter’s booking call is not personal advice, so keep the script to booking a meeting.
| Meeting source | What makes contact permitted | Time limit or condition | RG 38 reference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enquiry the prospect started (form, call, reply) | Positive consent: an active step such as initiating contact through a call or online form | Consent can be relied on for six weeks after it is given | RG 38.64, RG 38.111 |
| Review or check-in with an existing client | Contact about a product the client already holds, with no offer of a new product | A new product offer needs its own consent | RG 38.27 |
| Reactivating your own dormant database | A non-real-time message (letter or email) inviting the person to request a call | Call only those who ask; a reply slip example uses a six-week window | RG 38.35, Example 6 |
Silence is not consent (RG 38.67), and consent cannot come from a leading question (RG 38.65). Electronic follow-up also needs consent under the Spam Act 2003 and must identify the sender and offer an unsubscribe (ACMA). Booking calls also sit inside the telemarketing calling windows: weekdays 9am to 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm, and not on Sundays or national public holidays without the consumer’s consent (telemarketing industry standard).
Worked example: how many meetings a setter books for a 240-client practice
A 240-client practice that reviews every client once a year needs 20 review meetings booked each month (240 ÷ 12) before a single new enquiry arrives.
Now add 50 enquiries a month. The booking rates below are assumptions, not measured figures: replace them with your own.
- Low band, 20% of enquiries booked: 10 new-client meetings, 30 meetings a month in total.
- Middle band, 30%: 15 new-client meetings, 35 in total.
- High band, 40%: 20 new-client meetings, 40 in total.
Two things follow. First, review bookings are more than half of the middle-band volume (20 of 35) and the lowest-risk work under RG 38.27. Second, enquiry consent lasts six weeks (RG 38.111), so a setter that works enquiries the same day uses that window, while one that batches calls weekly wastes part of it. To turn meetings into a cost per new client, use our cost per client vs cost per lead guide for advisers.
How we ranked appointment setters for advisers, and what to ask them
We ranked appointment setters for Australian advisers on four weighted criteria, with 35% on consent-safe scope because the hawking rule decides what a setter may do.
Methodology. Each provider had to book appointments itself, verified on its own site on 29 October 2026. We scored consent-safe scope (35%: does its own site say it works your leads and clients rather than cold lists), speed to first contact (25%), reminders and show-rate controls (20%) and risk-sharing in pricing (20%). LeadsNow wrote the criteria and ranks itself first; no provider paid to be listed, and we used no third-party ratings.
Before you sign, ask any setter:
- Which contacts will you call, and how will you record the consent behind each one (RG 38.122 expects records)?
- Will anyone on your team, human or AI, quote, recommend or invite an application for a product? The answer should be no.
- How fast is the first call after an enquiry, and how many attempts follow?
- Do you charge for no-shows, and what reminders do you send?
If your enquiries come from AI assistants as well as search and referrals, our guide to how financial advisers get clients from AI search covers that channel. More adviser material sits on the LeadsNow finance hub.
